2024 SX 300 IMS Tank FAIL / Beware

IMS pushed out a tank before testing it. I spoke with an engineer regarding this matter, everything said here is from that call.
Ram TRX broke down! POS! Spewing oil.

Brand new 98k dollar Ram TRX spewing oil. Less than 200miles on it. Stranded in Lake Havasu.

Isn't this an issue with the stock tank as well for all ktm/husqvarna 250-500 2024 models?

Can you run a pickup line down into that part of the tank so you have the full capacity to work with?
Can't believe this tank made it into production or any of the stock tanks which are the same problem. Probably some cost cutting measure by KTM. There should be a recall on the stock tanks and all should be replaced with something that uses all the gas. Imagine selling a car that only used a portion of the gas in the tank but used more if you went over big bumps....! Taco Moto is developing a fuel pump system that will fix this problem but it is not out yet. They say real soon.
Man, I was all excited thinking about upgrading my 2014 FC450 to one of the new 300s. They couldn't even get the fuel tank right? That's unbelievable.

@brettstevens420 ya I've liked it. I just wish it had a headlight. I haven't found a good way to add one. It lost all its power on my last ride, not sure what's wrong with it, thinking it needs a rebuild but it's too hot out to motivate myself to work on it.
@brettstevens420 it was the in tank fuel filter. Man I thought it needed a rebuild lol. Simple fix. I'm curious as it seems like you know these bikes incredibly well, what makes you say the 2014's are badass? Do they have a good or better reputation among other model years?

Rub on the front of tire or back of front wheel well? I’ve got an aftermarket bumper so that should cover it from the front

Nope. Except the transmission went out with 8k miles on it
For anyone curious if you run that pump dry because the fuel cant reach it, it will blow and eat the bearings thank god for fuel filters my bike only has 5 hours on it and I cant even ride the damn thing

Hey I just bought a 2024 te 300. Brought it home and couldn’t get it to start at all. Brought it back to the dealership and they looked at it and figure out it was the gas intake design flaw that you were talking about. Now they’re saying I can come back and pick it up but I’m not even sure I want the thing anymore that’s insane. Wish I saw your video beforehand. Had to comment on this video because comments on the other video are turned off
Man you should get away from the Austrian bikes and go back to carb’d bikes. Sounds like you are plagued with problems no matter what you do. Cars included. I will add my friends. TBI left him stranded in the mountains on one occasion running out of fuel before everyone else in the group, and on another occasion fowling a plug and this guy is a double a pro class rider the TBI is problematic.
Ever get an Ecu Reflash for any of your Bikes ? I just sent mine 2023 TE300 HE to PinIt ( RaceAdV) . Heard these bikes are very Detuned Stock from factory due to Emissions etc.
Yea I have worked very closely with Best Dual Sports and with Jamie at Twisted Development . ECU makes a huge difference in power.
with that set up did it rub on the back or just on the front when off roading? I am thinking of adding eibach 1.6 inch on the front but not the back. I will also keep the OEM wheels.

Wait until the electrical and ac and power train problems you're going to have coming down the road. Take a pile of money and burn it to the ground and you'd have joined the proud ram owner's group. Lol 😂

In this picture no, There is no level kit on it. I did put a level kit on it after this. The level kit made a HUGE difference.

Hi how are you? I trust you and would like to ask a question. I have a deposit down for a Ram TRX limited edition ignition edition 2022 I want to ask is it a good car? I’ve never owned Ram. Would you recommend it more than the F150? Any problems you’ve seen with them or heard about?I don’t want to make a mistake it’s a big purchase it’s a limited car I’d love your feedback and recommendation. I’m in Texas.
Yea I had several issues with my truck. I blew an oil line first day, blew a radiator line a week into and 6 months I blew the transmission. I didnt even get it off road.... I would buy the Ford. No question.
I am running 37 on 22 with no rubbing.
Did you do a leveling kit if so which one

Absolutely- anything other than mild Offroad it rubs

@@oneday9312 I would not suggest off-roading anything other than a mild gravel road. You will definitely damage the inner wells

It’s like it was meant to be. It looks better with 37s. The 35s look a little small. Please post more when you get a chance to flex it to really test the clearance

I want to trade my Raptor for one of these but I keep seeing this shit and it makes me so sad. I would hate to be this person cause you know they are pissed as fuck. Good luck I know youll get it fixed love the truck congrats.
Id wait until the Raptor R comes out. This thing is a pos. It rattles, the bumper isn't straight, my suspension linkages were all lose. Not worth the 100K
@@brettstevens420 Thanks for the honest opinion still a bad ass truck but I know what you’re saying. When you spend that kind of money you shouldn’t have this kind of stupid shit going on. Best of luck hope it all works out. I’m going to take your advice and wait to see what happens with truck wars 2021-2022.
No offense but no matter how long you way or how much you pay for that piece shit like you said still a car and thosent matter who make them,they just that cars..and they never going to be perfect,so with all your respect,relax everything is going to be good...and good luck...
6months later the transmission went out on me and left me in the middle of the desert on I-15 for 7 hours - mine was a lemon.

Ram dealer fixed it, in 5hours. They didn’t say exactly what was wrong they said there was a couple issues, than some lines were lose and seeping and that fitting had completely come out of where it was supposed to be.
Glad it got fixed and nothing was damaged..
