DRAGON BLOSSOM | Art Challenge + Digital Speedpainting Time Lapse (commentary)
Hello!
This time I just wanted to tell you about Dragon Blossom art challenge I started recently, so you guys can also participate and have some fun!
And as a person who started all of it because of my passion to dragons and random inspiration by blooming spring flowers, I also made some designs! Planning to finish them actually.... one day
But you can already check some of the illustrations and art processes I've made on buymeacoffee. Also, there are more flower dragons on my Instagram!
There are no deadlines and rules to this drawing event, you can paint whenever you want and as many as you want. Just don't forget to mention me so I'll be able to share your art in my stories!

this is useful for very basic photoshop techniques, but it's not gonna help if somebody lacks on the fundamentals and design aspect. you can have a diligent workflow and still get bad results
True, true. I just wished to share some tips that helped me to create better environment, counting that people who watch it already have that knowledge, but maybe have the same problem I had. So, this wasn't a point of the video to explain it from zero actually :D But still, I'd like to cover more basic theory in the future!

pretty!! i use custom brushes i made myself by modifying procreate's preset brushes. they work pretty well but lately i've been itching to try new textured brushes!

@@kirlas7649 photoshop and krita brushes do tend to work on procreate. it’s pretty robust!

I use Krita, is there any nature brush sets compatible with Krita that you'd recommend for plants, trees, and foliage?
Actually, I don't use Krista that much, so I don't know any such brushes.. But I know that it's possible to import Photoshop brushes into Krita! You just will need to set the settings for brushes again

Oh.. I'm sorry to hear it :'> Actually, you still can try to use hard round brushes without pressure and then cut the shapes with eraser for the grass. It will take additional time, but at least you can make sharp edges too Also lasso tool can help a lot and save you time!

I'm sorry this fact was upsetting to you. In my opinion it's okay to use AI as an instrument to brainstorm rough ideas and find information, but I am against creating and monetizing AI art, especially when it violates copyright by creating "art" based on other artists without their permission and even knowledge.. Good tips. My biggest takeaway is your use of the selection tool to give clear shapes to the foliage.

I think I started when I was 10, if we talked about a serious hobby.
Omg, thats a good question. I think I’ve been drawing since I was old enough to watch my sister draw and then replicate it. I really started to want to improve after I read the Warriors book series and figured out I could create my own ocs and discovering old TennelleFlowers(I was 12). Now I have a whole new world(separate from the Warriors universe) and like 21 ocs and counting. Lol
