I abandoned this animatic for a while, but a couple of days ago I decided to finish it anyway. So if you noticed that the style has changed a little, it's because of my "break" in drawing this video :p

There are many things wrong, such as Rose Quartz not putting Pink Diamond in a bubble, and Amethyst not being present in the war The pearl appeared twice, once with rose quartz and once with a pink diamond, just as a pink diamond is rose quartz in the first place.
Well yeah, this is just a fan made AU made after season 5 aired. It's not supposed to be cannon just a cool and interesting to think about different ways the show could've gone.
@@JoeArty Yeah all of them can make sense in au but only one thing.. I don't suppose diamonds would come to earth to heal the gems if they didn't know Steven was Pink And also Pink Diamond has healing powers, not rose quartz
@MissHina4383 yeah but the whole point of the AU is that pink diamond and rose quartz are actually two different people, but they found a conclusion anyways because Steven is just that good at talking to people.

I would love to see this movie remade. SAME soundtrack, but upgraded animation. Upgrade the rating to PG for some leg room for darker elements and less restricted jokes...This movie already stands strong on its own. At the very least, this should be on Broadway. Imagine just how many happy fans would immediately purchase tickets! It is already written as a stage production, much more suited for such than these weak jukebox musicals and/or movie-to-stage musicals that have been receiving an over-glorified budget.
I would do a lot to see Princess and the Pauper on Broadway, but I do feel like the importance of the talking animals is a bit of an issue outside of animation. Even if you have a Broadway musical's budget and technology, the talking animal element is kind of just weird outside of a children's film. Like the horse that is forced to be evil and is able to defy Preminger at the end, especially when it takes Wolfy to save Anneliese, Serafina, and Julian... that's cute in an animated movie but it feels strange live, with a story otherwise grounded in reality.

I love how all these fan animatics have more life and personality than the actual movie.
for real tho. I love the movie, always will, but I think this animatic totally nailed the expressions and the emotions portrayed. my most favorite part in all this is the way it perfectly captured just how stifling Annaliese's life is. some people don't understand how or why Annaliese and Erica think they're alike(for wanting to be free to do what they wish, but they're both duty-bound) despite their completely different stations in life, and it kinda peeves me a bit. but eh, it be like that

I love that Erica didn't judge her for having all these wonderful things just handed to her in bed, but understood that it's not all wonderful as it sounds. You get the benefits but in turn you have to give something up, and Erica knew that :')
After All, Erica could escape her condition and have a better life, even if it will take time and a lot of money, but Annalise cannot stop being a princess and cannot escape the duties and restriction she has, especially because she doesn't have siblings or anyone who could tale her place
