Had my Tahr goretex version some 15yrs never let me down not a stitch come loose or fabric delaminated and I use it everyday for leisure, fishing, motorbike, walking…was looking to buy a new one but if it’s not made in New Zealand I won’t bother not that offshore people can’t sew it’s just I want something that’s not made in these countries(like everything else is)that was the whole point I purchased Swazi without even seeing one based on where it was made, looks like Micklagaard will be getting my money this time 😢😢😢

I had this jacket years ago and sold it as I didn't like how the chin guard velcro area was rough on the chin. I've just rebought the coat as that point has also been remedied with additional material to stop it happening, this vid doesn't show that tho. Great to see you're constanlty working on new features.

i have bought one but after 5 hours under a fine penetrating rain i was dried ! Because this one is only 10 000 mm while there are jackets everywhere that protect up to 20'000 schmerber. The cut and in particular the "chasuble" side is however really efficient ! Take care about custom taxe in addition if you ship it out of NZ !

They're incredibly light and seem to be quite durable. 100% Weatherproof. I bought a medium but I wish I bought a size Large since they're a wee bit short for me - the cuffs ride up while climbing (help!). Cheers.

Please make them a lil bit longer for tall blokes??

i re tested my tahr xp in the very wet period we are experiencing now, the jacket kept me exceptionally dry with no leaks. the only downfall is the pockets did not hold up and soaked through; luckily I didnt have any items in their.

Quality well made gear. Ultra water proof and tough as. Will last through the worst you can throw at it and will go the distance.

shame about the nylon. 100% wool is nicer because it doesnt pick up smell so you dont need to wash it as often

How waterproof is the Swazi Kagoule

Hello Davie Greetings from IOM . Just bought one of these new jackets. Will be using it west coast if Scotland next week . I’m sure it will be great . Hopefully will get down to see you guys and do a bit of hunting with Nick and Co, soon .

Got Swazi’s Nahanni and im in love! Perfect for grouse/ptarmingan hunting here in the Norwegian climate! Can’t wait until i buy my next Swazi jacket-maybe a Thar XP or model Norway👌🏻

I can testify about this jacket, it is even beter than the swazi thar .

They are pretty good I have them myself. only way to make the better would be suspenders instead of elastic waistband so that everything sits flat against the skin underneath the weight of a pack so there's no pressure points
