While Dashain has always been, and remains, one of the most beautiful festivals, it was historically imposed on various indigenous groups. In many cases, if they didn’t comply, they faced severe consequences, including death. As a result, their unique festivals, identities, and cultures were brutally suppressed. As Nepal was previously a Hindu state, the significance of Dashain and it's importance was extreme. The state leaders emphasized entirely on Hindu based festival. However, the practice of cultural diversity and festivities are jointly celebrated giving importance to each indigenous groups in recent times. Thanks for sharing this impactful content. it was not Haridatta who established Char Narayanas, but it was Vishnugupta who did so. Haridatta was just a nominal head of the kingdom where Abhira-Guptas had the real power. Vishnugupta established Char Narayana, Budhanilkantha and many more temples.
