On Even the quiest moment ,the sheet of music on the piano name Fool's overture ,if you play theses notes it's the American anthem of United state of america ,that's a meaning of this picture .I suspect that you took some substances before making the video, your many laughters is nervous and influenced by other things ;)
I respect your choice and your tastes, it's only a list but I don't understand how we can place in front of Led zep, Beatles, Pink floyd, ELO, a ska / reagy band Passafire, I can't understand. I love seeing young people discover a new universe hidden in an ocean of plastic music that we will forget in 5 years.
I remember putting off Yes for years because I didn’t do Prog rock. Then 4 & a half years ago I got Close to the Edge & BOOM 💥 It got me into a lot of other stuff as well.
There was a glorious period in time from 1972 - 1977 . It was a Golden Age . Genesis , Yes , Emerson Lake and Palmer, and King Crimson stood as equals . All were equally as accomplished . All were equal with regards to musicianship and the quality of music output . You really cannot say one band was better than the others . To say that is most unjust , and plain out wrong .
I would go a step further and say the best creators of music. I listen to classical, jazz, country, and the ever popular "other." None of it moves me like Yes. And none of Yes moves me as much as _Awaken_.
Yes has been my favorite band since 1971. I love CTTE, but there is Relayer and aftr that on GFTO there is Awaken. Later on The Ladder there is Homeworld and New Languages. They struck that gold several times.
although i am a yes freak your tastes in prog is way too mainstream . there r thousands of insanely great prog from around the world . and some great modern prog
Close to the Edge is arguably one of the 5 GREATEST ALBUMS EVER! When you consider; Dark Side of the Moon/ Pink Floyd, Selling England by the Pound/ Genesis, Hotel California/ The Eagles, and Houses of the Holy/ Zeppelin, those are five PRETTY SPECTACULAR Rock Albums! I mean; Low Spark/ Traffic, Bowie’s Album with Suffergate City, Thick as a Brick/ Jethro Tull, The Moody Blues album with Seventh Sojourn, they were ALL GREAT TOO!🎉🎊🎉🎊
If you like Close to the Edge check out Genesis - Supper's Ready, Renaissance - Scheherazade, Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn, Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick. My top 5 favorite bands (in no particular order because they always switch): Yes, Genesis, Phish, The Beatles, Pink Floyd. I always liked Supertramp, but I didn't start exploring their catalog until I was older so it didn't really leave much of an impression on me but you've convinced me to dive deeper. I like what you said about being glad you didn't discover Yes until you were 27. One thing you start to notice as you get older is that it gets harder to find music that impresses you, especially if you discovered such a great band like Yes at a young age.
1971 I was a junior in high school. I know it's hard to decide which is best but you have to have been there because all these bands were erupting then. Great times and the sound still is resonating fifty years later.
Please . . . go back to the 1969 release 'YES'. It's a young band, finding their way; but the elements that made YES the monster 'live' band they'd become are all there. Strong, muscular musicianship with strong 3-part harmonies.

Where is Awaken or anything from Tales on your top 30?
I am a fan of 51 years. I turn 67, 20 shopping days before X MAS!

Only 10 months after their previous masterpiece! Bands were much more prolific on those days!
Yes has been my favorite band since 1971. I love CTTE, but there is Relayer and aftr that on GFTO there is Awaken. Later on The Ladder there is Homeworld and New Languages. They struck that gold several times.
Talented, but far from the greatest band of all time!

It's not " Be Best", it's YES' S THE BEST!!!
Pavlovian head bobbing. I recognize that response.
Magnificent
Undying brilliance.
It’s Howe (Pronounced How)
The live version of “Yours Is No Disgrace” on Yessongs is the greatest song ever!
Close to the edge is probably the best album ever in my opinion!
It was wonderful to see your reaction,, and without interrupting too,👍
Starship Trooper has the best lyric ever written….”Loneliness is a power that we possess to give, or take away, forever”
I saw yes a week ago
2 -20 could be argued for inclusion and order but number one is bang on correct on both counts for sure 🤗

You're nothing but a mean starship trooper hater 😅😅😅
Your move all good people was also my intro into yes but just a few years before you like maybe 22 years😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
