Little Lecture 2nd Semester: WHAT THE HECK IS HYDROLYSIS???
มุมมอง 136ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! This Little Lecture briefly describes the process of Hydrolysis as it occurs in human digestive physiology. Hydrolysis is the primary mechanism for chemical digestion and many people don't get how it works. I am hopeful that this explanation will help you understand a little bit what hydro-LYSIS actually is and how it occurs.
Little Lecture 1st Semester: WHAT THE HECK IS A MEMBRANE POTENTIAL???
มุมมอง 172ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! In this Little Lecture I describe the what a membrane potential is and how it is created in a cell. This is essential to your understanding of how muscle cells and neurons function. How the Na /K Pump creates a Resting Membrane Potential and the role of Acetylcholine are discussed. Hopefully this lays a little groundwork for your understanding of how these cells work.
Little Lecture 2nd Semester: ACTIVATION OF B AND T CELLS
มุมมอง 177ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! This Little Lecture (which isn't so little) reviews how T and B Lymphocytes are activated in Specific Immunity. It's a little long...so keep a few things in mind if you watch it. -It has no voice narration, but it does have a goofy music track that I included...so be sure to mute it if you find that to be better. -Since there is no voice narration, make use of pausing and/...
Little Lecture 1st Semester: HEY! LET'S DRAW AN OSTEON
มุมมอง 111ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! In this Little Lecture you can watch the drawing of an osteon. It includes a little explanation of how human bony matrix is made by osteoblast cells and a tiny bit about how an osteon is engineered to be so strong. I always think that drawing out a structure is one of the best ways to learn and understand the physiology behind it. I encourage you to draw your own osteon to...
Little Lecture 2nd Semester: A LITTLE BIT OF ECG
มุมมอง 181ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! This Little Lecture explains a little bit about an electrocardiogram (ECG). What each of the wave forms represent and how to describe what is going on in the heart during the ECG. Since I probably talk too much, there is also a little information about how an ECG is used and what it shows in a very basic sense. Hopefully this video can lay out some of the basics in looking...
Little Lecture 2nd Semester: Blood Flow Through The Heart
มุมมอง 401ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! This Little Lecture will describe how blood flows through the human heart. It is very often something that you must memorize for your second semester A&P course. By drawing it out and/or saying it to yourself over and over again you can master the path that blood takes through the heart...the four heart valves and the great vessels. Plus you get to see some artwork by your...
Little Lecture 1st Semester: A WAY TO STUDY BODY REGIONS
มุมมอง 192ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! In this Little Lecture you can see one way to study and memorize the regions of the human body. Learning these terms is a very common task in a first semester A&P course. By creating your own diagrams you can hopefully learn all these terms more quickly. It isn't pretty...but I have found that it is a method that works for me.
Little Lecture 1st Semester: WHAT EXACTLY DOES "DUAL INNERVATION" MEAN?
มุมมอง 200ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! In this Little Lecture I attempt to explain a little bit about what is meant by "Dual Innervation" in the human Autonomic Nervous System. The concept of dual innervation is critical to our understanding of the functioning of the ANS and how we are able to establish "autonomic tone" in the body. So this video provides you with a little bit of an explanation followed by a ra...
Little Lecture 1st Semester: A NOT SO BRIEF REVIEW OF THE ANS
มุมมอง 253ปีที่แล้ว
Hey Fellow A&P Nerds! In this Little Lecture we will spend some time...maybe too much...reviewing the human Autonomic Nervous System. The basic ideas in the ANS are really not that difficult, but it is certainly a challenge to learn all the vocabulary that goes with it. So in this video (you should watch after hearing your Prof. lecture on the ANS) we discuss much of the commonly used terminolo...
