Good vid. How is it wired? Also get rid of the music.
Still my favorite
🤩🤩🤩🤩👍🧑🎄
Awesome video, beautiful engine and caboose, love it
Very cool and nice coal drag
How cool
Everyone loves the Norfolk and western, wonderful video
Beautiful engine and train, nice video
Very very nice
2:05 Whistle 5: Pennsylvania K4s.
very nice
I got PRR 6810. I love the red on the top of the engine and tender. Favorite locomotive I have!
I've seen layouts with HO creating the illusion of distance, like a shay in the mountains, hide the bump switch in the tunnel at both ends. 😊 run it slow.
I have the same one! Great runner
Nice 👍👍
Thanks!! 😄
Though I'm a western states runner of O- Gauge, I also have the PRR; Tuscan red and big-ass tenders always appealing. SP n' PRR... gotta love 'em. Awesome slow roll-out👌🏽
What are your thoughts on the Lionel 21' passenger cars?
@@Craig-fe5hr I gotta say, I’m not a huge fan of Lionel’s 21” cars. The biggest issue that I’ve had with them has always been with the couplers being different heights or just not keeping closed. When it comes to Lionel passenger cars, I definitely prefer the scale heavyweights or even the older 18” aluminum cars. I do really like the MTH Premier smooth sided passenger cars as well!
@@jaystrains27 Thank you!
A buety indeed!
Awesome M-1!
Thanks!!
Man I need that caboose!
The atlas e8s are the most slept on preimer engines that atlas made
Has a awesome horn on it! Very nice set
Thank you!! 😄
This is one of the most famous engines I've ever seen. Just like the Flying Scotsman.
That makes both the Flying Scotsman and Dreyfuss Hudson 2 of the most famous engines in the world.
Gorgeous!!
Great vidio, like the loco's , have the LC + BNSF unit and am quite satisfied. Thanks for the morning coffee...
I am thrilled Lionel is releasing these. I am definitely pre ordering!
If Lionel made 2 rail versions of these, I'd do flips. Scaletrains is the only other model train manufacturer that makes the ET44ac.
I like this Dreyfuss Hudson the 5th Whistle reminds me of the Lionel Legacy Turbine and the 6th bell reminds me of the Vision Line Hudson.
And the second whistle reminds me of the Lionel 4024 Big Boy too
I like the 2nd whistle because it reminds me of the Lionel 4024 Big Boy and I like the 5th whistle because it reminds me of the Lionel Legacy Turbine.
Do you think 10 wide would be enough for dual tracks? I'm going with 72 and 46 curves all gargraves track
Yes, I believe that 10” wide should be alright! 👍
Five cars? figured you'd have either 4 or 6 or 8😊
I have 6 cars, but one of them has some bad couplers on it. It constantly uncoupled almost every 30 to 60 seconds so I just left it off the train for this video haha 😂
I hope you get a solution for the coupler problem. I have the 21" UP passenger cars to deal with that issue. Now I've added 8 N Y C cars like yours......😮🤯
Dyk how much they go for pre owned? I have one w out the box, was always my favorite train growing up
The original one from the early 2000’s btw ***
I'm Ready for NYC 5449.
Hey Jay I Know Some Folks That Was On That Trip, Yea they Still Around. And Vividly Remember. Another Question Is Tom Dressler Still Alive?
I Got To Comment On Your Track, Looks Like Gargraves And Ross Switches The Double Crossovers, Trackwork Is Perfect. being a trackman I Look At The Track.
Just Subscribed. Being A N&W Man, I Really Like This Content. I retired off the Rail Gang In 21. Hired On N&W 1979.
Iam following Along On This All These Locations I Have Been, Laid Rail There.
Is it possible to find one those engines today?
They still are able to be tracked down! MTH made two road numbers of these, I got this GP-9 from Patrick’s Trains in West Virginia. I believe they still have both available!
@@jaystrains27I LOVE this video! You got to make more of these! There are so many possibilities to consider! Perhaps the New York Central Dryfess Hudson assisting a Amtrak passenger train? Southern pacific 4460 pulling a wartime freight train as it passes next to Southern Pacific 4449 on a passenger train? Maybe even doubleheading two articulated locomotives on the same train? I think the stories are awesome! Also I love the joint steam and diesel operations in this video
Love the locos, didn't need the music.
1st of all, BRAVO 👏🏼 on your ceiling layout. Great use of space!! 2nd, I'm obsessed with this engine... absolutely LOVE the green boiler. In another video, you had the Lionel LIRR FA2 and MTH GP38... which one made the station announcements Smithtown, Pt. Jeff, etc? As a rider of said railroad, I would love to find one!! Thanks for sharing.
Very nice diesel Jay. It’s glorious.
Jay, I got one of these last year. Thanks for the shout out. Mainly for the color and the idea that I would run short freight alongside my big N&W steamers. Coolest thing is that it has a quilling horn which I just discovered. Having an issue with it now which is its drawing 5+ amps after running for a few minutes. When i pick it up it seems warmer than normal. MTH warranty is just 1 year from issue so mine it out of warranty.
I actually didn’t know it has a quilling horn, I’ll have to check that out!! I’m sorry to hear about the issue with yours! Have you been able to figure out what’s happening with it?
@@jaystrains27 Yes, apparently there is a power short somewhere between the front pickup rollers and somewhere inside. Its intermittent and will likely require me to take off cover to track down. Initially I thought it was the pickup roller itself and I swapped it out. But I'm still getting spikes in amps while running it. It gets warm too so until I fix it no more running. Yes the quilling is fun to play with on MTH PS3 diesels. I discovered my VGN Trainmaster has the feature also.
I walk into my hobby shop and as soon as I saw the class A I said to myself that’s coming home with me !!
Beautiful... What track did you use on the layout?
Thanks! All the track I used is made by Gargraves 👍
@jaystrains27 Thank you, looks wonderful.
