POD Express + Tube Combo: ''Can you Gig it''?

The Pod Express is a really great tool. It can be an entry in to modeling that is super easy, a battery powered powerhouse for jams, an audio interface, and so much more. Paired with the @pedalnetics AuxPlate it could easily handle fly dates or get you up and running when inspiration strikes. This is in no way a pro demo- it's a quick way to show you how you can get great giggable tones with an...

Slick sounding harmonics.
Thanks so much!
Ordered the single AuxPlate today. I've really never had a simpler rig that you can just plug into the PA and go.
Sweet! Hope you dig it!
Very cool! So soothing! Nice one Brother!!
Wow! Thanks so much Craig!
@JimmyGallowayGuitar I couldn't comment on the Stomp video where that first minute is so tranquil and peaceful....you really have a gift that can ease people's anxiety and bring calmness into a chaotic world! I hope you put out an album with that in mind! I would definitely buy that!!
@TCraigGoldy thanks so much! You made my day man!
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar You made my morning!
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar And thank you for the nice email! I appreciate that very much and I appreciate you! I'll send a reply soon but saw your link and went with that first and glad I did! Have a great Holiday! Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays whichever applies and Happy New Year!!
Cool! I Love the versatility of the HX stomp
@@patmepin15 thanks! I do too
When you use the strangle switch, dial the tone knob to taste 👍
Always great playing Jimmy
Sounds great! 🔥🔥🔥
just Wooow 😍 cheers From France
What are you running your ears out of? PE itself or an interface?
@itsruss I'm running in to the PE. I will do another video with more Fuzz Sounds. I need to adjust the outputs
I'm not using an interface at all here. PE straight to phone

Thank you Jimmy I appreciate you're playing so much very beautiful I hope you never quit making videos
Thank you so much Jody! I appreciate you!
Very nice Jimmy!! Love the ambient worship type tones!! Well done!
Thanks Bill!
You got the gift Jimmy...no doubt about it! Subscribed 🙂
Welcome aboard! Thanks so much.
I play for the worship services at my church. I have a Helix floor and a HX Stomp, but lately I have been using a POD Express on a Pedalnetics aux plate. It works great and sounds great. Nobody knows that I’m not using the Helix. I set it up to use one or two presets per song and can go back and forth easily. We run it in stereo using two TRS to XRL cables. The best thing is that I carry my guitar in a Reunion Blues gig bag and can carry everything thing (POD, cables & power supply) in the pockets. The POD Express is an awesome little device.
I also have Floor, Stomp + pedals, and the PE is really just a great little device. I tend to try and tap dance too much with the others, with PE I focus on playing. I can use it to record right to my phone via USB. That's great do do quick ideas. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the mention Jimmy. Great stuff.
Thanks for such a wonderful instrument. I absolutely love this guitar. It's been an incredible companion. One of the finest I've ever played
Have you tested it in a rig? With analogic pedals like compressor, a good overdrive, clean boost? Is it good to make a hybrid setup?
Actually, my next video is using the PE and volume on the Pedalnetics board straight in the front of my little Super Champ. I set it up for Boost, Delay and Tremolo on the PE. Sounds killer. I did this to go have a small rig to put in front of a house amp at a jam that runs on battery power. Keep an eye out. I'll shoot that this month

Very beautiful ❤ thank you for sharing. 😊
Beautiful singing in addition to your usual guitar magic, Jimmy. Such a nice surprise.
Thanks for listening!
I bet you don’t know where Boxhill is 😉
I change the lyrics here in the States to be Buckhead [Atlanta]. Cheers!
@ No waaaaay! This is a traditional and quintessential English ballad, with English people and an iconic English motorcycle in it set in an English landscape. It tells a story and having an American destination doesn’t work at all! Its a period in time when all this stuff meant a lot to a burgeoning motorcycle community.
@Ukmongoose3 better tell Del to stop saying Knoxville then
@ Hahahaha, I don’t mind really 😊, but you’ve got me there with a good counter to Boxhill…. am I being thick? Who is Del?!
@Ukmongoose3 Del McCroury is a famous bluegrass icon here in the States that made this song huge. Believe me, RT sure loves getting those checks
Very pretty Jimmy Galloway
Love it man
Thanks so much!

Hi, thank you for this useful tip about the spring. It's obvious on a Strat, but not so on the Jazzmaster or the Jaguar. Can you pls explain which way to turn the screw to increase or decrease the tension? Cheers.
@TheTwangKings hello. Thanks for watching. On a Jazzmaster, there's a tension collett. There's no threads like a Strat. If you want more resistance/ less movement on the bar swinging you have to remove the assembly and turn the nut at bottom of shaft which will decrease chamber size for arm to go down. Once you open it up, you'll see what I mean. Cheers
@JimmyGallowayGuitar I see what you mean. But if I turn the screw on top clockwise, does that increase the tension enough to balance higher gauge strings??
@TheTwangKings ah, yes.... I read your comment wrong. The tension screw on top balances the trem plate vs string tension so the trem will float and be able to rock up or down while retaining tuning in standard or open
@JimmyGallowayGuitar Thanks again. This confirms it. It's incredible how many videos about the jazzmaster or jaguar miss this point! Nearly all of them.
@TheTwangKings thanks! The day I bought my Jazzmaster and Jaguar, I brought them home and put them through their paces. I tried a few open tunings and they held up beautifully.... so the real test was Open C on my Jaguar. CGCGCE. It stayed perfectly in tune. I was convinced after that. This is the most stable tremolo system in production for subtle tremolo. You can't go from Standard to Open C on a Strat or Bigsby system.
Beautiful guitar, paired with great skills, and an awesome amp. ill never get sick if that sound.
Thanks! This is guitar in to Pod Express, usb straight to phone. No amp used
@ wow, thats really cool, still an awesome sound!
did you use a custom nut for this or did it fit with the stock one? very inspirational!
Custom cut nut. Thanks!
Amazing sound! You still can hear that Rickenbacker sound come through. One of a kind axe!
Thanks bro!
🔥🔥🔥 sounding killer amigo!
Thanks man, this thing is a joy to play!
There ya go again Jimmy - damn showoff...I love it!
Thanks for watching!
Great playing as always Jimmy
Thanks!
Great demo of a fascinating instrument 🙌👍👍👏👏
Thanks!
Beautiful guitar and playing man I dig it
Thanks so much! I'm a convert.
@JimmyGallowayGuitar they make all their guitars so well and so consistent it's like a drug ha
Once again Jimmy Galloway Simply Beautiful you kind of like that Paul Reed Smith
I can't get over how killer it is
Man I have a PRS S2 Standard 24 in charcoal satin and I absolutely love that guitar. Great playing and a beautiful guitar
Thanks man! My buddy has an S2 that convinced me that I needed a PRS w a tremolo. I lucked in to this through a series of fortune from 2 close friends. This guitar is so versatile. I can't get over it. I'm a convert
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar isn't there build quality amazing I really do want one of the semi-hollow velos as well
@Mark_B585 I haven't played a better electric guitar than this Special. I had to sell 4 guitars, one being a HB II SE. It was good but this is way better built and more versatile
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar its such a damn good guitar and the tone is amazing
Love it. Great playing as always man keep going
Thanks a lot!
Sounds KILLER
Thanks man!
Welp I subscribed! So glad I stumbled on ur PRS video! This is gonna be change my life😂
Glad to hear it! I switched in 95 and never looked back. It provides me with so many options and I can be more expressive
@ that’s exactly what I’m looking for! I can’t hybrid pick with the pick, can finger pick much more accurately, hoping to marry the best of flat picking and finger style picking
Really great playing and tones, what kind of thumb pick are u using?
Thanks man. This is a Herco Extra Heavy [EH]. I file them down to about the size of a Jazz III. I have a video on my channel showing how I do it. Thanks for watching!
Thanks, very helpful
Glad to hear that! Cheers
Great demo! Another tone shapping trick most peole forget is when the strangle is on, the tone knob works in reverse, so you can take even more bass out.
@@fedog81 I didn't realize that! Very cool. I'll check that out later today
Gorgeous. Respect.
Thanks so much. David was a wizard
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar, Thank you, sir. Music from, and for, the ❤️. 🤘

Tutorial on how to improvise jerry reed style
Hey James, you're asking if I've done one? I have on my channel, yes. Thanks for watching!
@JimmyGallowayGuitar thanks what kind of thumb pick do you use
@JamesDillard-kz4cf my teacher Jim Burch invented the Herco thumbpick in 1978, and I use those. I like the EH [Extra Heavy] ones. I file them down a little bit, about the size of a Jazz III. I also made a video about how I modify them on my channel. It shows all the steps. Thanks!
@@JamesDillard-kz4cf th-cam.com/video/zLnN7GzaU-o/w-d-xo.html
Could you link the video where you show how to play like jerry I can't find it
Ahhh. The Fred Kelley thumb pick. Using that one too for bass vi ;)
This is a Herco EH [extra heavy]. My friend/ mentor/ teacher Jim Burch invented them in 1968
@@JimmyGallowayGuitar ah, Sorry. My bad. Good to know, though.
@optydroid all good! I like the Fred Kelly, but I like the Herco material a bit better for my style
