Yamaha WR450F G2 Throttle Tamer Install & Test Ride - Smoother Control!
มุมมอง 1.4K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Install of the G2 throttle tamer and then a test ride, my opinion is that it takes the initial hit out of the throttle which for me is good for the tight woods riding, for the short time I have used it felt good overall and allowed me better control of the throttle in tight situations.

Why did it crack?
Any plans to put up a rebuild video going into details about assembly?
@@wile.emario8957 there’s an update video after this
Pretty gnarly crack!
Great video, I’m looking to do this with my 2025 WR450F. Have you changed the ECU map? What are your thoughts now you have been running it for a while?
nice vid man this is how i will ride my wr450 when i get it next week ! nice and easy and slowly get to know it or it might buck you off like a bull XD
cool tracks... where you at?
Hey, what exhaust you runnin?
@@AndrewBox-c7b stock baffle out
Where are you riding in this video?
Enjoyable adventure to watch
🔥🔥🔥
Nice off roaring
How many km or hours on it now? I have the 2019 WR450 hoping to get done decent hours on it before I need to rebuild
@@brentg6210 250 miles now
Is this a 2024?
2022
Nice ride
Results??
read the description, I'm happy with it takes the initial hit out when rolling the throttle on
I have the same bike and I'd like to offer a few tips, stand up more you sit down far too much for that type of riding and cover the clutch and front brake with 1 finger. That way you can learn to slip the clutch and stay in a higher gear and you can "trail brake" to improve your cornering speed using rear and front brake. Keep with it as its a great bike
What a bike! Sounds rock solid and full of power. I got a 2005 and I love it 😀
"There's always one". Bit of a shit comment on hindsight?
Thought this. It's never nice for a rider to go down no matter the how it happened. I never go on group rides as its just too much hassle to constantly watch for anyone on blind spots.
More dangerous born again non professional amateurs putting insurance costs up
What a great community, god bless the highlander riders. Such a shame for your brother. Hope he’s better soon. 👍
Group rides with people you don’t know are for idiots with s death wish
Have to agree don't do group rides anymore too many bikes there's all ways problems.
Next time you all have a ride out, do it to raise money for the Air ambulance.
Really hope the rider was OK 👍 🙏 but I avoid group rides now as people get carried away 😢😢
Yeah I agree deffo some riders were dodgy, good crack if everyone behaves.
Still think the video of you falling of the wr is your best one yet 😂😂😂😂
hope they are ok. group rides are not great too many bikes all in one place. better ride with 3 or 4 less to look out for.
Seen on fb he's OK
fire video yo, makes me wanna get a dirtbike
Keep lugging around like that and your clutch pack will start chattering like a MF. Idk why but they replaced recoil springs with rubber dampers that go bad.
No hate but i ride my lil 2 stroke pit bike alot faster than that in the mountains. Maybe its cause that bike big af but it just looks like your riding it real slow. It is real nice bike and i know its powerful.
Still getting used to it tbh finding the throttle abit jerky I'm also running a trail map other wise the bike rips the arms off
@@MackAdventuresuse the power and let the rear tire slip.
Wow. That things is still corked up..
It's not
no, he is just respecting the bike and getting to know it first.
Is the bike stock with all the restrictions from the factory?
No screw removed from throttle body and exhaust baffle taken out, air box funnel out.
That manmade barrier at the entrance is new. Would have been no challenge for my tenere though. Do wonder where they expect people to park so they can go for a walk?
Sweet video bro!! I'm running a 17WR450f
Nice!!
Awesome vid showcasing the WR450F! It looks like it LUGS really well at slower speeds. Any mods? What MAPS are you running? I have a 2020 WR250F and the thing sucks at slower speeds, wants to stall. I have uncorked and just recently ordered the GYTR performance ECU and Map switch. In Canada they don't come stock with them
My map switch comes with the bike uk model, I'll make a video soon about my maps stay tuned friend 😀 uncorked airbox and exhaust, and only fitted handguards at the moment.
@@MackAdventures right on ! I will make sure to stay connected with you for the maps. Were you using the "mild" setting?
For a young man to undertake this on his own with out backing well done son,
Would weighted flywheel help in low rpm? It does help on mx bikes...
Probably my clutch control, bike only done 75 miles may just need broken in abit more.
Whereabouts is this mate? Looks mega
Fair haired lads just past Dores lochness
Is that washable?
Yep
Watched quite a few of your videos to find spots around Inverness. It's a class quarry that! My T7 gets quite a few looks from the enduro boys when I'm there. Love pinning the throttle up the track at 1:35. Looking at getting a WR250F to compete in some enduros. We should try and ride some time.
nice bike bit lighter than the T7 . hope you are having fun.
Unless I missed a step, does the filter need oiling?
filter is pre oiled when new
Dude what's the deal with forestry roads?can you ride if no signs at the entrance?.looks like a great place to ride dude.
Don't think you're aloud to my argument is dirt road dirt bike, some people are sound some are not, usually tell them to get a life if they say anything to me.
@@MackAdventures lol you sound like me... I treat people out of the trails accordingly. Thanks dude
Horrible music! We want to hear the sound of the motorcycle on the road. Also use a microphone shielded from the wind. Great motorcycle!
🤣
Fighting with that run son. Good run.
thought you were going to get the bbq out
I was there I was on the husquvana 310
Nice video, Looks like a good wee place to play about in.
£13500 for the same spec as my T7 , it is a lot of money to upgrade
I like it 👍 I have been thinking about replacing my ktm 690 with something a little more on road capable. Only problem is will I even be able to find one here in the States?
Same here. I’ve ridden the TAT from the east coast to the start of Utah on my 690R and while it’s great in some areas it lacks comfort on the road. The T7 is just not available in my area. I’d like to test one for sure.
I ride 3 days ago that yamaha for me africa twin 1100 l basic much better... I have 182 cm to big . Don't like this seat's position like new dirt bike flat seat's. Engine revs 5000rpm for 60 mph.... In africa 5000revs 90mph
