Another great video from you, giving the armchair viewer a super chance to see and hear this event. We get to see Senior Drum Major Chambers leading the band with his customary style and elegance. A manner in which at the same time has a vein of military precision running through it. I wish I could name the marches but will just have to hope that Delvin pops by to do the honours😎 Thank you for sharing this👍

An excellent Band the Grenadiers, playing very beautiful marches, led by an extraordinary SDM, the Iconic Mythical Gareth Chambers!! Although i've seen this video in other channel, it's a great pleasure to watch it again! An umpteenth example of the high professionalism of all the Royal Guards. Thank you for sharing.

No nation gives a finer example of public ceremony than the British armed forces.

I love watching the Guards bands - the Band and Bugles are also terrific - pity they don't get more air time (an old-fashioned term denoting more video!).

Everything matches in this video, even the plumes on their bearskin: the excellent Irish Guards Band, the Best, and their Mythical SDM Gareth Chambers! Really gorgeous display and marches, thank you very much for sharing this video!

I can’t believe I’ve only just found this video! There’s something aesthetically pleasing when the Drum Major and the band herald from the same regiment and the plumes in the bearskin match! In this case it’s the Irish Guards, always a force to be reckoned with. Furthermore it must be said that the whole of the Senior Drum Major’s performance is aesthetically pleasing, with every move timed to perfection to reflect the music. And wow, what music! “The Ballyragget” was composed for this year’s quick march in the King’s Birthday Parade by Band of the Irish Guards member Chris Shelton and his colleague A Barras. It’s a superb march, love it! And then there’s “Irish Saffron”, another truly splendid march. Here the Band of the Irish Guards give a sterling and rousing performance of these marches and make you want to pull your shoulders back and stand tall! The Irish guards are renown for their Mick Swagger and with such fabulous music to march to who wouldn’t swagger! Thank you for sharing this video, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it👍

Un show cu adevarat spectaculos, multumesc pentru filmare! Mi-a placut foate mult faptul ca au tinut sa introduca un segment special dedicat aniversarii a 80 de ani de la Debarcarea din Normandia, cu fotografii si clipuri din anii '40 pe durata spectacolului (primele erau dupa blitzkrieg-ul nemtilor si urmatoarele erau filmate chiar la Debarcare si ulterior) dar si la final. Segmentele cu scotienii au fost cele mai emotionante, cel putin pentru mine. Dintotdeauna mi-au placut enorm cimpoaiele scotiene si ma bucur foarte mult ca le-au introdus in spectacol🥰🥰🥰🥰 Ca si trivio info: segmentul solo cantat de soldatul scotian in timpul spectacolului a fost exact cantecul cantat la Debarcarea din Normandia, pe 6 iunie 1944, pe Plaja Sword (mai exact, sectorul Sword al plajei) Printr-un miracol de la Dumnezeu, soldatul scotian care a cantat atunci pe plaja, nu a fost impuscat, a supravietuit Debarcarii (oricum, acel sector al plajei nu a fost atat de intens mitraliat, cum au fost sectoarele americanilor pe Omaha si Utah, dar chiar si asa). Anul acesta, pe 6 iunie 2024, exact in acelasi loc, la 8.00 dimineata, acest cantec a fost cantat din nou in Normandia, marcand debutul festivitatilor aniversarii celor 80 de ani. Cel mai neasteptat moment, cel putin pentru mine, a fost partea in care au imbinat cantecele pop/rock cu muzica de fanfara. Stiu ca au mai facut-o si anii trecuti, dar daca la unele formatii era oarecum de asteptat (Muse, Queen, Colplay, chiar si David Bowie), la AC/DC chiar NU ma asteptam, aia fost cireasa de pe tort!😅😅🤩🤩🤘🤘🤘Mi-au placut din nou ca au facut un cover al unei alte formatii preferate, oarecum inaintea spectacolului propriu-zis, de la minutul 1:26 melodia se numeste "Iris" si este a formatiei de rock alternativ Goo Goo Dolls (sunt americani) Este una din cele mai faimoase piese ale lor.🥰🥰
