You are right. I experienced a GM that overheated after the water pump was installed since it was not initially burned like you did. You have to really watch these amereican vehicles closely, or they will overheat after doing work on the engine cooling system.

Wanting to do this to my 2013 ss because my ls3 blew also have agp twin turbos. Did u run into any problems with the install???
@loganhigginbotham8017 no issues. Essentially you'd do a ls3 conversion on the LY6 since it has VVT cam, lifters, timing chain and sprocket, which all have to be replaced with non vvt parts. You'd also need ls3 timing cover and to drill and tap hole in the block for long alternator bolt.

@loganhigginbotham8017 Yes, stock displacement. I ran a GPI SS4 Turbo camshaft.

Can I drive without both primary and secondary thermostats long enough to get to a shop?
@ScottXDavidson I wish I could answer that, but I am not sure.
@@silverbullet_2ss I found that I could roll home with the secondary thermo removed and everything was fine.

I have the same issue but my leak is from the temperature sensor where it is supposed to lock. Does a O ring go in before? Need suggestions. I bought new sensor and still leaking
@jeremyg5533 your new sensor should have come with an O-ring. If not, then I'd suggest an O-ring assortment from Harbor freight or Amazon to find the right size to seal the leak.
@@silverbullet_2ss the New sensor has a O ring already on it but I’m supposed to place a O ring gasket in side before placing new sensor in the housing? Because it’s still leaking. Will I have to just buy a new housing instead?
@jeremyg5533 no sir. The O-Ring should be placed on the sensor prior to inserting sensor into housing. Try taking a rag or cloth and blotting out some of the coolant from the temp sensor hole. Get it as dry as you can around the rim where the sensor sits. Hope that works.

@YNICKD that's a negative. LS and LT platforms are not cross compatible.
Best explanation I've seen so far. I'm about to do this at some point this week and changing out all my coils as well. My engine has been shaking a lot when I'm idling and somebody told me that would solve it.

Thanks for posting! I was trying to see how sensor and hub go hand in hand. And you gave me a better understanding to confirm my thoughts before pouring $$ on it. Going to try this. I replaced sensor but still trips ABS and message to service stabilitrak.

@@jesseparrott6328 all fixed baby! Yea, took wheel off and magnet was broken in pieces. I paid my cousin to just replace for me. For me, think after dealership rotated tires, vibration when taking wheel off broke the ring from rust.

Did you buy the new O ring or did it come with the housing? What size is it if I need to buy one?
It came with the housing. You can also buy an assortment of o-rings from Harbor Freight or Amazon and match it up with the one you pull off if one doesn't come with your housing.
Is there a way I can message you on instagram or snap chat or a phone number I am really interested in puttying a 6.0 in my 5 th gen Camaro and I would really need help in the sense of me asking questions about how you went about to get the harness to work and if you need different motor mounts ect

The coolant temp sensor mentioned in video has a small o-ring. Some kits offer different accessories depending on where you buy and price. My kit did not come with small o-ring but luckily I did not need it when I swapped the temperature sensor over to new housing. Hope this helps you Kelly!

This exactly the problem with my Dodge avenger 2012. I’m trying to figure out the name of the piece that the thermostat housing is bolted too
The thermostat housing bolts to the side of the engine block/head. Hopes this helps with your issue.

I think the starter is the same problem that I have with my 2013 esv but i don’t know if the engine is gone or what because one day when I was driving it I was approaching a stop sign then the front end starting vibrating a little then the truck just shut off. I turned the ignition off then tried to start it again and all I hear is one big click everytime I tried to start it. Then I did some research and people were saying that even if the starter went bad that wouldn’t have stopped the car from running so I don’t know but I really hope it’s just the starter and my engine isn’t shot. Thanks for this vid tho whenever I get time to change out my old starter, I’ll come back and refer to this vid.

Negative, unless you gut all wires out of it, rewire and run a stand alone ECU for engine control, and get transmission to match, but something like that wouldn't make sense money/time wise.
