During the show we managed to find a slot where the area wasnt being used so we thought we would make use of it and take our Sultan for a couple of laps, we certainly made ourselves known and opened her up as she hasn't been used since last year.

I remember my introduction to Salisbury Plain as a boy soldier at Tilshead camp late 70s and seeing for the first time, a regiment of Chieftains in column trundling past the camp, down to the tank crossing at the bottom end of the village and moving off towards Fox Covert training area...it was damned impressive.

As a x RTR man who started as a driver on Cents and Chieftain and became a D and M instructor on all types on wheeled and tracked AFV's I can only say that is the worst bloody driver I have seen . That is one fast way to destroy a power pack. Treat it with a bit of TLC.

Nice work, love you’re Video! I am considering rebuilding a defender 90 TDI myself, the problem is the entire under construction is totally rusted and cannot be restored. Can one replace it with the under construction of a defender with the steering wheel on the left side. The one I want to restore has it on the right? Thx for your help!

Thank you,,,,,,Wow…….that is a complete restore. I shut off the sound , annoying. But slides much better than ‘movies’ you really understand how it is done. Like my 30 ft wood sloop when I restored, just a diesel motor sitting on the keel all the instruments and wires sitting on top , you think you will never get it back together magically it goes back , restored. Perfect color on Rover. I have a ’69. ’88 in garage but I only do boats………..sadly.
