You caught one of only 3 Allison units remaining at Gun Hill Depot, #4783. #4782 and #4784 are the others, as the rest #4785-#4799 have ZF transmissions. #4743-#4753 of Kingsbridge Depot also have Allisons. In total, 29 of these 2012-2013 New Flyer XD60s remain in The Bronx. These XD60s will soon be leaving the Bronx for Brooklyn when the B1 of Ulmer Park Depot goes Articulated. With the exception of the XN40s and XN60s of West Farms Depot (and the 6 XD40s), the Bronx will be exclusively Novabus territory. Good for the Bx28 for going Articulated as well. The Bx28 gets crowded, especially along Gun Hill Road, and in Norwood.

You do know that I love Woodhaven Boulevard! Jerome Park Productions, I love buses that run on diesel. Orion seven Old Generations Hybrids and CNG New Flyer XN’s only. No XD40s, Next Generations, and C40LFs 2011 in sight. They suck too much maintenance and they’re not fast.
