Hello phaun, i'm here to demonstrate that shroomish is girlypop. She's often depicted with a rbf, and I think that plays in her performance actually: Breloom is the evolution that channels her anger into punches, but shroomish is still that girl who's moody because she's been told girls can't be angry. I can further prove this point when we consider the light green part on her is giving childhood summer dress. The art of her pokemon card in the XY Primal Clash set is showing her having a blast with her bestie while the 2 in the midground might be resovling some drama : elementary school recess time tea party. Shroomish is the embodiment of girlhood and she is girlypop.

Hey! Initially started watching because I wanted to understand what girlypop was, left with a lot more than that. The lessons I learned from this include: 1) Girlypop, as an aesthetic, is not in its entirety feminine. It is a compilation of broad "feminine" appeal, which is more or less romantic appeal with a side of drama/camp. 1A) Something appearing masculine isn't necessarily excluded. A knightly/dandy aesthetic, or a boyish feel can be Girlypop with the correct level of sass, cuteness or chic/cool style 1B) That fully committing to a Girlypop feel isn't necessarily a power move. Girlypop can pop off loud, but it can also move in silence, an angel of grace lending a featherlight push to an already strong style (hence why being "okay" here doesn't necessarily mean you aren't using it effectively toward your personal goals of image) TL;DR: Thanks for the ramble, I learned a lot. 🙇‍♂️
