Man, that place looks outdated. I've also seen community hospitals larger than that place too. I'm not a huge fan of the carpeting everywhere, especially in critical care and OB. At least the ORs dont have carpeting lol.

Worse people in the valley. Rude and uncaring. It’s all about money with them as they order expensive test and medicine. Like who can afford 2000 a month for medicine. They treat you rude and like you are a burden. I would not recommend these people to my worst enemy. This video was a lie from the start

Excellent video as usual my friend. I actually came back to review this after trying a different version. I had a patient who had a fairly robust support system, family support, and a good resilient self and relationship. So I modified the exercise to mainly show that the content of what her mind tells her is dramatically different from what loved ones would say and what would it be to experience similar things. So, the movie metaphor was used more as a visual imagery where we are in the theater; I asked her to close her eyes and walk into the theater and imagine all the familiar scenes which you describe so well. There are her close loved ones - those who have the best intentions and actions towards her actually in the theater with us. And then the movie starts. The movie character is herself. And the scenes show moments of vulnerability and triumph (take excerpts from the interview to match it up here). I also made it a point to say, your loved one s are seeing for the first time some of the hardships you faced alone or in isolation. I would then ask the / guide the patient to imagine reactions and responses of her loved ones towards her; imagine what kind of emotions they would feel for her; and what would she hear them say. Allow her to stay in what she heard for few moments. And lead her out of the visual imagery. I would then dialogue about the experience and talk about how different the content of her mind is from what she just experienced in moments of difficulty. Few caveats: All the contextual factors were great for this patient to safely try this. My fellow BHC pointed out what if the loved ones have mean and unkind things to say to her? Well, at that point - i hope i will be able to practice some self-compassion myself. Let me know your thoughts.
