Barronette is my favorite peak. I have gone up out of hundreds. Bunsen is great little hike. Same TH.

I go out to the ridge not through woods. It literally ends at the turn off trail 👣 up to Electric. Quadrant Mountain is the alternative and a great peak. Electric has like 5 or 6 false summits. If July August take a long plastic waterbottle. For killing the 500 horse flies landing on you as you walk up if hot out. I lost count at about 200. I generally make sure I take enough clothes to cover my entire body. Light weight. Electric is the peak in Yellowstone. Took me about 11 12 hours. I love this area for wandering around. Pretty sure they have the bear mgt area deal in the summer.

This is one of the best CDT videos. I walked your way in 2022, April/May. I see you went the way I did. Road to Grants after going up on the mesa (I didn't find the way down, it was a longer bushwhack!). Then to Ghost Ranch. It looked brutal at the end! I avoided the final crest and walked road and rail (!) to Cumbres Pass. Thank you for this fantastic film.

The back in Holland caught my attention. A very long time a ago (20 years plus) I wrote a feature article about a hiking duo from Holland making their way through Amarillo, TX. The Continental Divide post reminded me of the story and the outdoor zeal of two friends from Holland hiking across the country and the time taken to stop for an interview with the Amarillo Globe-News.

lovely, how you enjoy your hike in your daypack and a porter who is carrying three backpacks (of yours) at once is gently walking next to you. Even I know that is common in Nepal and good for the porters to make some money (of course they get less paid than the guide because... yeah don't know) it is still weird to watch. Just came back from Manaslu circuit and I am a little jealous on your views. On the pass day we were rewarded with clouds and mist. :-D Awesome video! Thx for that.
