I surprised on the video where you said this was a hard tune on 2 counts..1. Is there ANYTHING that's hard for you at this point?? 2. Havona seems(to me anyway) a much harder tune. That would be an interesting video(kinda click-baity but that could be a good thing) 5 hardest tunes on bass when you can cover Jaco and Scott Lafaro.. Beautiful, inspiring, playing..thank you!!

Brian does amazing things I don't see anyone else doing on bass, both electric, fretted and fretless, and upright. Sometimes his innovative thinking reminds me of Jimi Hendrix and Eddie Van Halen, in how his style is such a dramatic step forward in multiple ways; challenging, creative, and fun to watch and listen to; makes him one of my favorite live bassists, even though I have to overlook the smoothness of the genre, for his skills and ideas, I can tolerate the sweetness for a bit.

Who played background bass?

You guys are great, but i have a question about bass players . Why are modern bass players obsessed with slapping and popping ? And some of you want to play it like a guitar and have another bass player playing the bottom end like you are supposed to . Play a guitar if you want to play a bass like a guitar . What happened to the good ole days where the bass player played the low funky beat with the drummer ? Everyone has thecslap the crap out of the bass . Lets get back to basics

Remember hearing this for the first time when I was in college......it literally transformed my thinking on jazz and the endless possibilities. Such a great song......timeless.
