Prepping the Fun Field for Fall 2023
We're working on some changes at the farm for this fall. We hope to bring something fun to our area and will share details as the time gets closer. We want everyone to come out, join us, have fun, and hopefully experience a Great Harvest.
For anyone wondering about the Firminator, the tractor we normally use to pull it is in the shop. We don't know how many horsepower it actually takes to run it, but we know how many we used!

Saturday Afternoon Project

Russell needed to mount his triangle toolbox in his new truck. Couldn't find a swivel mount that worked exactly like he wanted, so we did a little weekend, farm shop fabrication.
Cleaning up around the pond
มุมมอง 2022 ปีที่แล้ว
Springtime means Spring clean-up around Four Corners Farm. We're doing some cleaning up around the pond this weekend. Mowing with the John Deere 6140M and Bush Hog 3308. Mulching with the Deere 333G and Diamond 60" Disc Mulcher.

We took the 333G with the Diamond Disc Mulcher down to the creek this weekend. Took out some brush that had grown up on the north side of the bridge.
Diamond Disc Mulcher First Run on the JD 333G
มุมมอง 27K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Picked up a Diamond Disc Mulcher this week. Hooked it up to Russell's new Deere 333G and he took it for a spin. We know there is going to be a learning curve on a new machine, but we're pleased with the results after a few minutes of practice. Starting off working through a ditch probably didn't make it easy. He was having enough fun that I had to call him and tell him to shut it down so we cou...
Did you build that tool box ?
The tool box is a Montezuma clone. I don't recall the exact brand. Looks like the sticker says CPL.
Man I’d love one of those!! What is it? 🤦🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
Swivel mount for the Montezuma box
It would be cool if you could pull it out onto the truck bed then turn it😊
Yes, it would. We were trying to minimize height and weight, but that additional functionality would be awesome!
Would you make me one for the 36" montezuma box?
Sorry, we aren't set up to build any at this time. Thank you for your interest.
Any updates on this setup?
It still works. Haven't found any issues so far.
I’m looking for something just like that how did you make it work
It was just some test fitting and placed the swivel mechanism to where it would pivot and clear the wheel well and the bed side support.
What size is that box?
I believe it is a 30". The truck is a long bed and the box is just a little long to fit between the upright, corner bed support and where the wheel well meets the floor. That is why it is set just a bit to the inside of the bed and the height helps with clearance as well.
Great build. Did you fabricate the swing mechanism ?
I don't recall where we sourced the bearing for the swivel assembly.
Wharf Sudan is this
Sugar Graze II from Coffey Seed Co. out of Plainview, TX
Which model John Deere is this?
Thanks for watching. It is a 2021 6140M.
I need one of those so bad on my property
They really are awesome tools, especially once you get the hang of it. We haven't had much time to work it, but it has done great in the areas where we've run it.
Let’s Gooooooo!!!
We are! It is going to be quite the undertaking.
What a dream machine. I’ve got the 333G with a heavy duty cutter but this is what I truly want. Unreal at what it can do. Looks like there is certainly a learning curve but that just makes it fun
Yes, sir. There definitely is a learning curve and it just makes you grin when it grabs a tree and sucks it right through! It never gets old. We would like to have a good brush cutter/mower as well. Once you get one attachment, you just want them all! Thanks for watching.
Man I’d love one of those.! That’s awesome
Thank you! It's still working well, though as with everything, you learn and we would make a couple mods on the next one.
I would love to see more videos of you clearing more land with this machine. It looks like you have plenty brush to clear. Thanks for the video.😊
I'm sure we will when we have time to get back at it. Always seem to have too many projects and too little time. Thanks for watching!
Nice work! Is that the 48" model?
Thank you. We were just starting to play with it and figure out the learning curve. No, sir, it is the 60" with the piston motor.
@@pecantrailfarms Too fun, I've been running the 48in for about a week now. How many times have you had to pull a tree out from jamming the head?
I’ll take one just like it!
He is going to road test it first. If it holds up like we expect, we can make that happen.
Going to need some more posts!
We're working on it! Stay tuned.
