I just bought one of these yesterday and have come across an issue. The Canon RF100-400 lens has a diameter that is actually below the bottom face of the camera (if that makes sense) so when I put it on the tripod the lens is actually touching the plate and not the camera body. I wondered if I could use, say, a 38mm square QR plate rather than this one already on it as then the lens would be over the edge of the plate?

How do you clear it to start another day

we bought it. for being under $25 it does all the things and very worth it for the price. we have been running ours for over and hour and changed the battery once so far... i appreciate that it came with 2 so we can always have one charging... the phone app works great and records fine. my 8 year old is following the pets and the video is fine. if anyone asks about the quality, don't by a $25 toy. it's completely acceptable (better than some phones i've had) but does degrade the further the drone gets from the controller.

I took the picatinny base off mine by removing the 2 Allen screws from the top and mounted it to a Meadow Creek vented rib mount for a shotgun. This sight is amazing and easily takes the recoil from heavy turkey loads out of my shotgun. Can’t beat it for the price

Very helpful starter video! The tapping “201 level” blinking light stuff is throwing me off. Very nice headlamp. Hadn’t had a quality one (petzl) since about 1993 - with halogen.

I just got one, and I wanted to see the battery so i knew how to replace, the whole panel is not connected to anything? should it be? should I return it?

I just have to say this based on my experience. I spoke to someone at REI about the different head lamps that are available and they strongly suggested I go with this one. I heard that this was an amazing lamp that was waterproof with battery that could last many hours. I've used this headlamp a few times (maybe 10-15 times at most) over the past few months and it was great until it started flashing red, blue, and green lights on its own without me pressing any buttons, and would randomly turn on. It doesn't even look like you can make that happen without continually pressing buttons, which makes me think that something shorted or there was some electrical issue. After it did this twice, I looked into the locking feature and locked it, but after using the locking feature for the first time (when it was fully charged), the light wouldn't turn on after trying to unlock it by holding down both buttons (it was in my backpack for ~3 days locked). The only time that the light shined was when the lamp was plugged into the charger, but the battery level looked full. I kept trying to unlock it for about an hour or so when suddenly the blue locking light flashed ~30-50 times continuously, and then I was able to use the normal mode but not the color modes. I usually carry a back up light when I'm going out at night or underground, but I wouldn't call this light reliable from my experience. It's charging now, but I'm not sure how or if the battery died. I may try and get it replaced at REI since I haven't had it for very long, but I looked into the reviews on Amazon, which are mostly positive with the exception of it's ability to turn on and consistent electric failures that people have reported. I was hoping that this would last at least a year, if not two. Aside from that, when it worked it was amazing, so hopefully this is a one-off. I may use it tomorrow morning if it turns on, but I'm certainly bring two back up lights just in case.
