An expedition with a slight hiccup when we holed one of our boats. I found a way to fill the hole with a penole (wooden wedge we use to keep the forcole/oarlocks in place) and a paste made from biscuit crumbs. Four of us then rowed this large gondola, called a balotina, back to the boatyard and came out again with two different boats. The meal at a place called Club Vecio Ristoro Lagunare - Associazione sportiva naturalistica made the whole experience worth it and we rowed home again full of laughter, food and wine.
