how does spaced repetition work when in medschools, you have multiple subjects with multiple quizzes to review for? can you please make a structured video on HOW to actually incorporate it in philippine med school curriculum? for example, can i incorporate it in the middle of the sem when i have so many backlogs? kelan lang sya pwedeng gamitin? puro kasi spaced repetition kasi nakikita ko pero parang di naman applicable sa philippine med school satin. baka lang may namimiss ako. salamat po, 3rd yr med student here.
Doc whats the best method to study if you only have a 2-3 days to prepare for one subject medicine? May be just focus on previous exam concepts??? medicine is overwhelming😢
asian version of ali abdal 😂😂🤣
new sub.....thank you
In* September not on September
Great help! Thank you!
I'm currently a PGI and will be taking the boards next year! This is a great vid. Thank you!

Distracted by this Thumbnail
Is it because the thumbnail is bad… or just good enough to make you click? 😅
opened TH-cam for another purpose and after seeing this video i clicked and totally forgot why I came
i really need this for the psbim😅
currently a 2nd year med student, seeing an Ali Abdaal variant from one of our own is inspiring. Haven't finished the video yet, but I'm glad I stumbled on this video.
Sir.. i have a doubt.. foreign nationals who graduated as MBBS/MD in Philippine medical Colleges, can able to obtain medical license there ??
Hello doc, thank you for sharing this! Please upload more study tips, your videos are helping me study on my upcoming Respiratory Therapy board exam this Feb 2025 🙏🫶
That’s not spaced repetition. You reviewed content for 4 days, then didn’t see it again for like a month. Spaced repetition is meant to be a gradual process. Like 1 day, then 3 days, then 1week, then a month, then 2 months. The whole idea of spaced repetition is not to forget content.
Hello, Doc! I've been following your channel for quite some time. Your videos keep me from wasting time on unnecessary things just to procrastinate. Thank you so much! ✨
I understand the concepts of active recall and spaced repetition, but I find it difficult to implement them as my main study strategies, especially when creating flashcards. I don’t see the point of spending countless hours making these questions. Don’t get me wrong-I fully understand their importance, but I struggle to find a fixed approach, especially when time is limited and I end up cramming all the lecture material. I’d appreciate your insights on this dilemma.
Really insightful and helpful! 💯
gud
Thanks a lot
erm sir it’s actually 3 minutes and one second 🤓☝️☝️☝️
salamat
In no where in the book "Make it Stick" does it mention an interval of 12 days. That may be what worked for you but that's not what research shows work.
Yes, the intervals do vary. The optimal intervals depend on how well you perform on a subject and how much prior knowledge you have. There is no size fits all interval but spaced repetition algorithms (on apps mostly) help you to find the best review time
Bro you deserve more 💯💯🔥
agree!
Thx❤
I don't understand. Don't there be another new materials to study by the day you start to count again starting from day 1 ?
Kuya karl book review please

You are a blessing! Thank you Doc! I hope to see you in the future :)
Thanks Doc Avillo for these tips. Wonderful information as always! God bless Doc!
Thanks for watching!
Government is toxic and they don't exactly teach you during residency, most of the things are done on your own. They will just give you materials to study then proceed with a revalida randomly. Private hospitals have better and less toxic training. They teach more and do provide specific schedules for exams and revalida time to time. But, they pay less. Philippines just can't put both things together and it's sad!! I took surgery for 3 years and quit.
Ganda niyan Paps! Pwede ba magcounter strike diyan? :)
