Father G Donald Pantle "The One who is Love" by Rob Belanger
This is a photo slide show of my brother in Christ, Fr. G. Donald Pantle. I played this song for him several times and was happy how it moved him. I made a slide show of some photos to go along with the song about one accepting that life is fading, yet ready to meet Christ.

Church of the Nativity Band "All to You"
Just saw them a couple of months ago, front row. So great to see them after 40 years. What a great band and great worship. Even got to say a few words to Oz.
Great band of all time
Very interesting learning about these homes.
It has really changed since this production was done. The motel is gone and the home is really nice to visit.
Thank you for letting me know about your history productions on subscribing to my channel. Well done on bringing the history of Gettysburg battlefield to all.
Hi, the comments are off on a video you made about the Alexander Currens house in Gettysburg. In it you mentioned the exact year it was built and I wanted to see if you recall where you found that date. I’m doing some research and am looking for more information about that house specifically.
Fehlt in der heutigen Zeit, neben Döner Mafia für die Jugend.
Strong
Awesome!! Thank you So much for the video. One of my all time fave bands!
Thank you for taking this video, my wife and I are here at Gettysburg and we were trying to figure out who does house belong to
I’m glad I found your video on this farm. My 4th Great Grandfather was in the 52nd North Carolina. The Regiment that burn down the house and barn
I see now (5.29.2024), Camp Letterman is being desecrated. It is litered with heavy construction vehicles and piles of drainage pipe, it is scarred and being prepped for development. Not only is this location an integral part of the Gettysburg battle, but many brave Americans died there, and even buried there. To see this happen is truly disheartening, and I'll go even further to say it is completly disgraceful. This is NOT progress, it is dispicable greed. Putting another usless, unwanted strip mall over the ground where heros died. And, the beaver pond at the foot of Little Round Top....also desecration of hallowed ground. How is this happening....the Park Service is NOT living up to their prime directive to preserve and protect this ground.
Thank you, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass, and all who fought to end African American slavery and save the USA.
Thanks for the story but damn man you own the worst camera I have ever witnessed. You can barely make out any detail. It seems to have been out of focus the entire time you were recording.
William Barksdale was my first cousin four generations removed.
A GGG Uncle of mine served in the 24th Michigan Infantry and was wounded at Gettysburg on July 1,1863 and survived the war.
Banker George Messersmith did not own this farm, woods and orchard in 1863. R.E. Lee HQ in Chambersburg was Shetter’s Woods and Orchard from June 27-30, 1863. My ancestor, Abraham Shetter owned this Farm, Woods & Orchard in Chambersburg in June-July 1863. Abraham’s son, was found hanging in his father’s orchard at dawn, July 1, 1863 after their occupation by rebels. Get the truth and the facts right please 😉 Abraham and Absalom’s wife,Katherine, found him. They couldn’t live at the farm, woods and orchard after a couple years because of what happened,so Abraham sold the farm to Messersmith.
I’m pretty sure that some eggheads are working on a computer CAD or Triangulation program that can soon resolve all of your questions
I was a member of the 24th Michigan Regiment of Volunteers back in the early 1990s......
This is my husband’s great grandfather
I've been on the trails of the retreat. Im an army veteran myself this brings me peace traveling their tracks in the woods
My great great great uncle Captain Wesley Mellard Co H 13th Mississippi Infantry was part of Barksdales brigade
Hideous
June 28, 1863...not July 28...
What no one realizes is that Longstreet's delay actually almost helped the South. If he had attacked early,as he was ordered to, Sickles corps would have still been occupying Little Round Top. The delay gave Sickles time to move out of position, and almost lose the battle. Although this wasn't something Longstreet knew at the time,it's still a fact. All the troops who then wound up defending Little Round Top would have been in reserve,if Sickles had been where he was ordered to be by General Meade. So I don't think Longstreets job would have been easier if that were the case. You see how messy things get when people don't follow orders? There were many reasons Lee lost at Gettysburg, not just Longstreet delaying the attack.
Longstreet didn't delay his attack. Lee didn't even issue his orders until 1100. The thirty- minute delay in waiting for Law was authorized by Lee, and the delay caused by Longstreet's countermarch was due to an error made by a guide who was sent by Lee to aid Longstreet. Just sayin...
@@manilajohn0182 You're correct, but I still say that the delay helped more than it hurt. As much as went wrong for them during that battle, all I can figure is they weren't meant to win.
@@davewagner5408 I can't say that I disagree about the delay aiding the Confederates. The Confederates attempted far too much with far too little. Lee originally never even wanted to attack the AotP. The meeting engagement on 1 July ruined his plan of campaign and made attacking on 2 and 3 July all but obligatory. His only other alternative was to abandon the campaign in failure. Cheers...
Longstreet moved too slowly.
Reynolds was killed in Herbst's Woods on McPherson's Ridge leading the Iron Brigade into battle in relief of Buford's cavalry. Not Seminary Ridge.
two words , get a wind sock
Great info, but too many uhs and uhms.
Thank you for this my family fought with the Bucktails hope you do more on them plus the Iron Brigade and Berdans Sharpshooters.
Absolutely incredible job. That Back and White photo you got of that stone wall intersection is amazing. You can see exactly where Baxter and Cutler would have been and in the foreground the field the North Carolina troops would be coming on. What a photo!
July 28th 1863???? You mustve meant June 28th, 1863 Meade was placed in command of the Army of the Potomac.
My grandfather Miles A Mayall served with this unit thank you for sharing!
Did they ever put a marker for where Barksdale fell mortally wounded?
Thank you!
im a member of the 17th pa Cav, Co F
My g g grandfather by marriage was from the 66th ohio. He eventually became a corporal.
Great video
do you know where peters grave is?
He's buried in Evergreen cemetery at Gettysburg.
I take care of the Old Marsh Creek or McClellan Cemetery. I wrote a book about the Black Horse Tavern. A gentleman that was in his 80’s at the time showed me Longstreet Countermarch route. Three generations lived in his house. His grandfather told him the route was right after the cemetery just before the stone farmhouse going north on the BHT Rd. There is a country lane that goes from BHT rd to Herrs Ridge. The road is not Red Oak Lane but rather it came out to a lane they used to call “Lovers Lane”. The men came out of the old country lane to a path that would take you right next to the Adam Butt Schoolhouse (white small stone house). The men would cross 116 and head to Willoughby Run for cover. The 3 hours I spent with him was the best 3 hours i ever spent with anybody. Lt Jerome would claim in his report of seeing a long dust trail which would be Longstreet Corp. If Longstreet just kept going i wonder if it would have been a confederate victory.
William Barksdale was my first cousin, four generations removed. My Third Great Grandfather, Nathaniel Barksdale III, was his brother. They lived in Smyrna, Tennessee. The Union Army destroyed the family cemetery there during the occupation of Smyrna. Every Barksdale headstone was destroyed and removed.
TOO SAD FOR THESE MEN ON BOTH SIDES HORRIBLE WOUNDS PURE AGONY AND SUFFERING AMEN 🙏
"this has been this has been this has been"
Reading where the current house was not present during the battle.
Very nice job. Details not explained anywhere else.
Too much wind noise
a fantastic video...just too short!!!
Who ever did this video I would like to thank you....Father G. Donald Pantle was my cousin and is missed something terrible, but I understand God needed him more than I or anyone who truly loved him.....Miss you Father and may you rest in peace.....
How did Warren become a Corp commander later on or is it two different men?
Thanks for this. When I go there I like off the beaten path places. i see the road/turn-off from the Baltimore pike. Where do you park to get to these places? Chris Miller, Associate LBG.
Where is part 9?
