    I also have an older Sony Bravia. I just received the HT-S2000 soundbar and is working with the TV but not without problems. There are considerable lags when toggling between the TV speakers and the soundbar. When streaming, the image also stops and have to either hit the play button or takes you back to the app and have to resume from there. On regular TV, because of the lag, you lose content on the show.The surround sound, as far I’m concerned is not surround at all but a sound coming straight at you. It is also not consistent!! I just turned the soundbar off and the sound on my TV was louder! I have a Samsung TV in the bedroom and bought a less expensive soundbar for it and works like a charm. The sound is more impressive, there is no lag when toggling and the options on the app are better. The remote is more complex so it’s easier for me to use the app. With this said, the Sony Soundbar is going back!

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      I would agree with all of this. I only watch streamed content so the lag has never been an issue for me. As for surround sound, you have to purchase the other speakers in the bundle to experience the Dolby Atmos tech. I like the remote! I use it over the app any day. The sound on my S2000 is much much louder than my 12yr old Sony Bravia tv by a lot.

    • @Meleebeatsprod
      @Meleebeatsprod ปีที่แล้ว

      true and that's the documenting part about it. Your video is great the only point it misses right from the start is that the new method for making it is creating youtube videos and catchy short form content to provide value to others and ultimately sell them your products. and providing way more value than what your prices are and a community for people is the key factor to having sucess with this. hope this is inspiring@@breakfastandbeatsnyc

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t really care about “making it”. But I do believe in “making money.” Also, for music producers, I believe that “making it” relies more heavily on long-form evergreen content. I don’t think you need short form content to succeed. Hope this inspires you.

    Urgent question. I’m going to buy the sound bar but I need your suggestion. Can I use this/any other Dolby Atmos sound bar in a non-Dolby Atmos Tv? I mean when I play a Dolby Atmos content on Netflix from a non dolby atmos tv do you think I will experience Dolby Atmos effect? Or do I need to have Dolby Atmos enabled TV?

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      Dolby Atmos is the entire setup with surround sound speakers. So you will need the other products listed in the description to experience the real power of Dolby Atmos. That being said, there is another component of this sound bar called DTSX that is kinda like generic brand Dolby Atmos tech that does give massive width to audio playback but still will not compare to the full set up’s playback.

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      My Sony Bravia TV is over 12 years old which predates Dolby Atmos technology. Dolby Atmos is within the soundbar and speaker system design itself, it’s a program that adds height to audio playback through multiple surround sound speakers. Although, I doubt you’ll be able to discern the difference between a dolby Atmos audio playback on a product that does not boast dolby Atmos tech. So your non-dolby Atmos tv will not have the same playback quality as a surround sound system that has dolby Atmos tech.

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      When I play Dolby Atmos mixed content on my Sony Bravia TV, it is so flat compared to when I use the Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar.

It’s such good advice to detach your emotions. I’ve also been hired to be a feature on an album for somebody and that person never finished it and fell for the trap that he just talked it out, waiting for motivation, and for her to feel right. Hey. I wish you the very best with your approach. While I think you are right about most of your industry analysis, I still kinda doubt that people will be hooked in masses to a newsletter. Especially when maintaining attention is the number one goal, which in turn is only accomplished by visible/audible results to back it up and lead to the newsletter. As you mentioned you recorded many songs in a studio, but you also need to put that experience in content form. After all you'll still be forced to create content on platforms to attract people. I will continue to output music and hope the algorythm picks me up. It has never been easier to be boosted from the algorythmic system than in today's day. I'll stay with you to see what you create <3

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of your comment. And thank you for subscribing! I guess time will only tell if my newsletter theory will work. The newsletter is how I’m combining all of my audiences from all social media platforms into one place. Having no email list and no passive income streams is one of the reasons my producer career failed the first time (check out my last video for more insights). While I do believe being visible is important, I would argue it’s not necessary (I plan to create a ghost persona just to prove this theory). Alternatively, my TH-cam channel is already generating lots of potential new customers for me even if they aren’t purchasing immediately. The main solution with this new approach is to create more content with less effort. So repurposing what I’ve already created into different formats is going to be my bread and butter for building viewership. I’ve done the whole “drop products and songs and beats and videos every day” schtick for awhile and I am looking for a more sustainable longterm solution to getting more sales and having more repeat customers without feeling like I have to be salesy all the time. Thank you so much for subscribing.

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      @@breakfastandbeatsnyc if you can make it work then kudos to you. And it's badass you're calling your shot this early. I just think you're putting the cart before the horse, in a sense, by pursuing teaching before commercial success. And this will change the quality of your experience as a creator, right? Like time you would've spent honing your craft at producing music at an elite level, you'll be writing / teaching. Which is cool, too

    • @breakfastandbeatsnyc
      @breakfastandbeatsnyc ปีที่แล้ว

      If you check my previous video called “why my producer career failed the first time” you’ll see that I opened a commercial recording studio in NYC and recorded hundreds of artists and thousands of songs. Idk I seen commercial success and I want MORE. What I found, for me personally, is that writing about my craft has clarified my philosophies so deeply that my connection to audio engineering/beatmaking surpasses most other producers I run into. Dump on writing and teaching all you want, I love that shit. It gives me so much energy and I feel my positive impact. Just peep the comment section. I never seen comments like this on any of the hundreds of beats I’ve made. 🤷🏻 When I say teaching I don’t mean lame ass tutorials either. You’ll see if you subscribe.

    As an artist myself, I've learned a lot from watching producer channels, but haven't seen anything like this, AND I'M WITH IT ALL! Most producers and artists at this point are in a rat race the industry created without realizing it. Working to get signed to labels just to get shelfed asap. Not getting the proper split royalities on a beat. Ever since I considered making a career in music, I always knew independent was the way. As an avid Dan Koe supporter, seeing the one person business being talked about and utilized gives a lot of people going down this path the assurance they need! w vid

      Thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment. I promise to keep following through with this business model. Tbh I’m just replicating the success stories that came before me s/o to Dan Koe and other content creators who have taught me this much. I think making beats ends up an empty path for many producers who go that route because it is not the only path (but it’s the only path we see on the internet), and there is way more than one way to succeed here. I’ve watched the scene change over the past 10 years MASSIVELY. Why not change with it? Thanks for watching! I hope you stick around for future videos. 🙏🏻💪🏻

    I have been contemplating going back to audio school. Mainly because I need more podcast editing work to get by, and no other opportunities close by. Audio school is great for networking, if you are in an area that has a good audio community to be a part of. Hard to get your foot in the door without it. SUBSCRIBED. Keep 'em coming.

      Thank you so much for subscribing! If you’re looking for experience editing podcasts, I highly recommend networking with podcasters online before attempting to pay $100k on audio school for connections. I didn’t go to audio school and through networking online alone I was able to find 3 podcasts that needed an engineer and I had them as regular clients for years. One podcast client will likely have you editing hundreds of episodes for you. School sadly doesn’t teach you how to network your own paid gigs- but it does put you in the same room as a lot of opportunity. I just like to be clear that school ≠ opportunity. You’ll be in a class with 20-40 other engineers all trying to get the same gigs. And once you’re all out of school you’ll rejoin the ranks of every freelance engineer bidding for gigs as well. Don’t forget standing out comes from getting your hands dirty on the job! ✌🏻🫶🏻
