Radio Play Todd Carter (Better known to audiences as Mark Fowler in EastEnders) plays an impoverished widower, who was a Bow Street Runner in Victorian London, but is now working alongside a nervous, upper-class "Peeler" as part of a new crime -fighting force. Their very different backgrounds make for an unusual but effective team.

Great comedy.
This was amusing and kept me entertained. Many of the themes and passages from a number of Hannay stories were included. But the overall feeling was one of lightness; the playright did not achieve Hannay's gravitas. The tension wasn't there. But it was a good romp.
