We had a 1,498cc Classic 2-door when I was a kid in the early/late ‘60s. I can see now that what I thought then was an ugly car is actually rather sleek and stylish. I think it was mainly because it was before the days when Ford suddenly woke up to the fact that wider wheels, even plain ones with hub-caps, make even a base-model car look quite cool. I think several more minutes would have been justified looking at these 4 immaculate cars in more detail, but well done for this taster.

Fabulous Capri. Those 2 litre pinto engines are tough as ole boots. They are outstanding for things to upgrade them. One of the best ford engines around.
