Haha thanks for the offer bro. I've got a couple spare pairs so should be good. Just making sure I get the most out of those ones 😅
Great vid, some really nice footage and a bit of action made for a good watch.
Cheers mate, appreciated
Good one on the pig your dog got mate, just wish people would take there rubbish out with them instead of leaving laying around in the bush.
Cheers mate, Yes some people aren't to phased about leaving their rubbish behind. They possibly had to get out quick before the rain and will hopefully go back in to tidy up.
to much bro
Cheers bro appreciate the regular support
Awesome mission 👍👍👍
Thanks heaps
Chur Jacob mean mission bei.. Sky's onnn ow 💯
Cheers brutha, yep she's going good. Needs a couple mates for the bigger ones but nice to know she can get us a feed!
that deer by the hut is within 2 meters of where I shot a spiker 2 years ago. only difference is the one I shot was there at 6am. they obviously like that hut clearing even though it gets lots of people. keep up the great videos my friend.
Cheers mate, think I read that in the hut book? Beautiful forest and awesome hut! We watched it in the dark for ages as the moon was out. Then got the camera out.
Nice footage! What hut is that?
Thanks that was great
Cheers bro, as always thanks for the constant positive support
Awesome video bro go on you for boning and carrying it out
Cheers bro, appreciated.
Awesome mish bro just the fix I needed.
Cheers Chris, hope the choppa trip with the family went well and you've managed to get out again before the busy season.
Time for a new pair of boots I think
Nearly 😅. I need to learn to look after them better. Or go back to the indestructible rubber ones
Good hunting mate 👍💪👏

Really enjoyed that ,well done Jacob, thank you,Fred from taihape
Good one I always carry Cramp stop hunting
Cheers mate, I'll grab some when next in town. Was a bit slack with my water intake
Hunting is a great way to keep fit,to get some fresh air and get a feed.
Awesome mission mate - Where are you based mate ?
Cheers mate, glad you enjoyed it. Based in Galatea/ Murupara area.
Excellent!
What bread is that pup
His dad was a Black labrador bird hunting dog. Mum was a Greyhound X all sorts pig dog from memory. Cheers
I know exactly how that feels. It definitely feels like they are trying to scratch their way to your brain alright. Cooking oil dripped into the ear stopped it for me. It was that far in Bernard didn’t think there was anything in there but located it and out it came. I thought it may have been a Mayfly. I was working in my workshop at night right under a light.
Cheers Eric, crazy how suck a small insect can be such a nuisance! Hope alls good on the farm. Beautiful week for Rusa hunting 😊
A good tip of the trip bro.
Very smart trick that👍
my boys are gonna love this story
SO that's called hunting ?
Apparently. Must hunt different in NZ
@@jasonflett3587 If you don't have the skills you need to find other ways
Nah we don't do it like that in nz people just dint know how to hunt
Naa, not my way of hunting
Awesome footage of the stag👌
Cheers bro. Been struggling with the hunting lately. Need to get the bush MOJO going again. Haven't been able to catch any pigs either 🤦♂️
@@jbwild I know the feeling bro haha, haven’t been very successful lately.
Great mate , those Gal hills are up and up , how from Para ,are you , my mates ,dad , was the main man, when logging ,started , ,did you give up Fleming, your south island trip
Cheers, 5mins from Murupara. We only lasted 1month walking. Pulled pin was too hard out 😅. Then ended up traveling around in the van camping and Exploring.
Mate, awesome video. Is Mary-Jane native to NZ? 🤣
Haha cheers JB. Seems to be becoming more common 😆
Amazing what you can bump into.excellent hunting and good videos thanks bro.
Cheers bro, as always appreciate your positive support 👌
Bro, the trip with your daughter jade, love it, what a nice place to go with family, may i know where is that Hut bro, planning to take my family for outdoor adventure , thank

very well written and read. unusual way to do a video but it was very entertaining.
Cheers for the feedback and glad you enjoyed it
Really good dogs tail brother enjoyed the hunting story’s, are the bros from up the hills.
Cheers, Whakatane, Waimana n the hills
Fucking great bring on part 2
Haha cheers bro, see how we go
Mate, the South Island eh? As much as I love the Whirinaki, the best scenery is NZ is definitely down south. Shame about the deer and goats, but still a fantastic video. Thanks for sharing!
Cheers JB, yep we have been blown away by the SI scenery. Epic! Still love the Whirinaki. Looking forward to getting home n going bush 😊
Thanks for the vid, did a stint goat culling in there maybe 12+mnths ago. Camped in a tent on one of those flats- first job was to beat a path through about 100m of head high grasses down to the river for water 😂
Hahaha yep that grass is a crack up. Had had heaps of rain prior to me heading in so was nice n swampy. How many animals did yas cull? I only heard two groups while in there and saw bugger all sign so yas must have got the majority of the local population. Awesome job bro, keep at it and thanks for the message. Cheers
@@jbwild from memory the tally was a touch over 100. Still be plenty around though, she’s big country out the back there!
Repeated 1080 drops in there certainly won't help with the deer numbers
I agree 30 years of dropping it has an effect.
No, I think they started in that area about 2014 and approximately every two years since. Plenty of deer across from the hut before then and as long as I remember. Get in there fishing occasionally now, the deer sign is absolutely minimal now, plenty of goats wekas and blackbirds. The native birds don't seem to have increased from what I have noticed bar the wekas
Cheers for the comment, glad to hear there used to be good deer numbers in there. I was a bit confused with the lack of sign as the feed is all there. I'm not a trout fisherman but man those rivers were definitely awesome! Hope ya get plenty more years up there chasing those brownies. Cheers
From experience the better hunting is up the south branch past goat creek..I've walked across them grass Flatts 😆 its ruff..been going into the area for 20 years..worked on the track over last winter..was eazy riding motorcycle up there instead of all the years of walking it..before the cycle track was put in..if your still in the area I herd a cuply stags last night..we could go for a look
Thanks heaps for the positive comment and offer for a hunt. Would've been keen as! We are currently in the Marlborough Sounds. Couple weeks away from home. I bet the motorbike would be the dream! Saw a couple of lads boost past while I was in there. Hope ya get onto a few during the roar if you get out there. And thanks again for the offer bro! Appreciated
Thanks JB, Awesome Bro!
Cheers bro
Mean video brother. Looks like red deer paradise so shame you saw no sign. Those flats looked gooood.
Cheers bro, yep no deer around the grassy flats but I'm sure there'll be a few further up
A great addition to any expedition, weekend trips.
