Why do we, why do YOU...hunt? Tradition? Conservation? For food? To get away? To get closer to nature? For the chess match? We believe it’s all that and so much more. We know it’s good for the Mind, Body, and Soul. We WILL HUNT…
GhostBlind REVIEW Pt 1: Unboxing and Initial Impressions...DOES IT REALLY WORK?
#thewillhuntlife #ghostblind #disappearingact
It's been said that seeing is believing, but when it comes to the GhostBlind, NOT seeing is BELIEVING! In this video, Josh reviews the GhostBlind by Summit Outdoors and takes it out for an evening in the field. To say we're blown away at by effectiveness, would be putting it lightly. Who would have thought a series of mirrored panels would make you invisible!?!

BOWHUNTING TURKEYS WITHOUT A BLIND!
มุมมอง 544 หลายเดือนก่อน
#thewillhuntlife #bowhunting #wildturkey Bowhunting the notoriously stubborn Eastern wild turkey is NOT an endeavor for the impatient. HOWEVER, when things work out and one of those wary-eyed limb roosters commit to within 20 yards, it makes all the waiting worth it. Josh had several great hunts before finally getting a gobbler to come within archery range.

what county do you hunt in Ohio
Hey Mike, we're a little spread out through the state. Josh is in NW Ohio, Richie and Troy are South Central OH, and Brian and Boe are in North Central OH
I hunt Medina Ohio and Muskingum ohio
Frumos 👍 💖
👍💖💖💖
Is that a mad sound? She sounds like she’s purring
👏 👏 that’s exactly what it’s called! A purr! In this particular case it would be an aggressive purr as if to say “who are you and what are you doing in my neck of the woods. BE GONE!” They also make a more content and “happy” purr when feeding and it’s sometimes accompanied by a whistling sound. Lots of different vocals in the turkey woods!
Watch out for mountain lions and bears. Keep bear spray with you. Some Californians were just attacked.😊
Heard those reports. Such a tragic way to end a shed hunt. Fortunately, we don’t have bears or big felines in our area.
I have one great dog
What a good boy!!!❤ Love this!
Doggo lookin a lil thick needs more active time or less food
Stupid question: Do deer shed their antlers every year?
Yes
@@michaelsmith5171 Thank you
Every year. Fastest growing tissue and bone known to man. Even more amazing is elk, moose and caribou with their giant antlers shed and regrow them every year. INCREDIBLE!
Cut those dog nails
Well dang. I just ran across some mule deer and they still had their antlers
We still have some whitetails holding very late too!
what a good hound dog 🐶
Don’t tell him that. He’ll get a big head! 😂
@@TheWillHuntLife lmfao good for him! Only thing my hound dog hunts is cheeseburgers 😂
@@coreybrown2063 mmmmmmm cheeseburger. lol. Oh believe us, if Waylon could get his chops on a cheeseburger, it wouldn't end with just one. We'd swear he's part Raccoon. Dude will eat ANYTHING food related. Can't leave stuff within reach or turn your back. Lost many an uncooked jalapeño popper to the rascal.
@@TheWillHuntLife gotta love hound dogs! This one is my 3rd in 25 years and once I got my first one I never looked back.
Need to carry treats to give him when he finds one!
Most do at first. I did when I was training my bird dogs. Now they just work their asses off and get excited when we load up bc they know they’re going straight to get an ice cream cone wherever we can find one.
We trade him treats for antlers! 😆
How bout you try that by yourself. Lol I'd love to train a dog for shed hunting here. How did you train yours ???lol
Should we do a video on training a shed dog?
@TheWillHuntLife yessir please.
We’ll do our best to accommodate! May be a little while as we have a ton of turkey, deer and trapping content to post yet this year. Hope ya can be a little patient 😉
@TheWillHuntLife gotta love the outdoor life. Looking forward to watching those too
That is awesome. Finding my first shed was one of my favorite memories, happened on my 11th bday
That’s a great way to celebrate your birthday!!
That boy needs more out and about time
You’re not wrong.
Hehehehehee... having fun!!! Love it...
Good boy Waylon! Sir you have a great puppy.
That’s debatable. 😆 he’s also the reason we can’t have nice things 😂 wait for a future short to see how naughty he can be lol
Incredible noise ! Good boy ! Your the best 👌
No need to apologize! Prayers for you all! I hope the lord continues to give you and your family the strength everyday to move forward!
Thanks man! More coming soon. Hopefully walleyes too! ;)
New subscriber, love what you're doing!
Appreciate the support! 👊
Awesome never got a double that close together the same day!
Doesn’t happen a lot in lower populated areas like here. Obviously we have reds, but we don’t have a lot of cover and very few fencerow anymore and more coyotes than we’d like to see! Maryland and PA are much more likely to have double catches.
Castor is definitely a mans air freshener! Love the smell of it. ❤
It really is hard to beat.
Damn, I forget how some people are born without the gene that lets them feel pity or remorse. Look at them just suffering out in the open, waiting to die.
It never ceases to amaze us the naïveté people display when it comes to nature and wild animals. They live in these conditions and much worse 24/7/365. Ever seen how a coyote, raptor or eagle treat a red fox? It isn't pretty or nice. Our short from several weeks ago shows the release of a red fox several years ago when the population was lower than desired. We released every red fox we caught for several years. Hunting, trapping and fishing aren't about killing...Hunters, trappers and anglers pour billions of dollars into conservation each and every year, more than any other "save the animals" group on the planet. Tell us again about pity and remorse? ✌️
Where you selling? After close to 20 years of trapping i had to throw in the towel.. i love it but i couldn't sell fur in fact i still have some in the freezer from last year.
As you know it is NOT a sellers market anymore. Hasn't been for a number of years and we're unlikely to ever see prices like the 70s, 80s and even the early 90s. For us, it's helping keep populations in check, helping farmers, educating people and keeping the trapping tradition alive. We'd love to run a longer line than what we do, but as you mentioned it isn't gonna pay any bills, so we keep it just long enough to have some action and be outdoors. What fur we do collect ends up at the Fur Harvesters Auction.
@@TheWillHuntLife the earlier 2000's the prices were except able. But like you I never was trying to get rich off of it. But I was actually losing money.. I never shipped. i had a local buyer that gave reasonable prices. But I called him and he said nope he was done. Said he had like 3000 pelts in chest freezers he couldn't sell. I follow the prices in FFG and yeah it's bad.. our only real hope is fur comes back in style in some other part of the world. It not going to happen here ever again. To many snow flakes.. I miss it.
@@tl1635 you’re 100% correct. The early 2000s were acceptable and one of our local fur buyers through in the towel several years ago. 😔 Throw in trade sanctions etc against what were the biggest fur buyers and it’s not good. Not good at all.
@@TheWillHuntLife we can only hope fur comes back in style in China lol.. btw I appreciate you not showing the dispatching.. I was watching some videos recently where they did and standing around and making a joke. yeah we are used to it. But It aggravated me.. it's just not for the general u tube viewer. I subscribed to you.
@@tl1635 appreciate your support! We got a ton of content coming real soon!
Is it mange, or bald spots from breeding? Was it a male?
Great questions and thought, but it was 100% mange. Most notable mid back above the back hips, but fur loss was becoming evident over the entirety of the coyote. Under all legs was nasty as well. It was also a male.
That’s pretty cool, what is it meant to trap?
Probably after coyotes
@thomasjcorson7502 is correct. The area in which that red fox was caught had a lower fox population than we'd like to see and our focus at the time was coyotes only in hopes the red population would rebound. We're happy to report that it's now been a few years and the fox population there has indeed rebounded to a point where we kept a few that we caught this year.
They need you in Texas
Curious as to what you mean?
Thank you for sharing and your time. Happy hunting😊
Right back at ya @melvinjenkins7154
Tell me more about the Verizon plan please
Please message our Facebook or Instagram accounts for the details. Thank you!
I thought everyone now uses earth anchors. Rebar. Is not good
Hey @jack0903 Curious why you're saying rebar is "not good." Earth anchors are fine to use, but in order to save time pulling traps in frozen ground, or needing to return to the site after the ground thaws, we prefer using double stake swivel and 2 rebar stakes.
Those castors are valuable and easy to remove
You bet! Hoping the current high water goes down. Everything is currently flooded but we'd like to get a few sets in before the season ends!
👍❤🤣
As a farmer who owns sheep this is satisfying to watch
We don't mind 1 coyote on the landscape, but the problem is where there's one, there's a ton! lol. As hunters whom like to eat, we appreciate farmers for feeding the world and allowing us the privilege to experience His creation on their property and pursue the animals we do!
👍❤️
Awesome video!!
Glad you enjoyed it. Good Shootin!
Does anyone know if you get any flexibility in choice of which cellular provider you want for the camera? I feel the big 3 choices often mentioned, are probably more in the plans choices monthly, than say the resellers or MVNO's that also use the same towers, but wory about compatibility, ie they're SIM CARDS won't work in the camera, say like from Tello Mobile or or Minit Mobile, etc...
Nice!
Thanks!
Cool hunt and I appreciate the difficulty but when you say WITHOUT A BLIND!! then there shouldn't be a blind.
Outside of giving a little covering from about the chest down especially when spring leaves aren't on, that's not much of a blind, BUT fair enough. We've done that too and will accept your challenge to do it with only natural cover. You're just gonna have to wait until 2024 ;)
where did you get that bow? great video aswell!
That was an Elite Archery EnVision bow.
