AWESOME!
Your channel is underrated. Such outstanding skill you have. If you go Japan for sure could be valued much fairly..
A masterpiece worthing its place in a museum
Speechless! How could this be even possible, never tought about such thing. Very impressive
I thought he would have turned asian at the end of the clip ...
This modern computer aided origami is not impressive as the original form of the art.
Where do you see a computer helping in that? The current computer algorithms, such as Treemaker and Origamizer are not very usable for this kind of origami. It still needs to be designed by hand which took a lot of time in this project.
it’s insane!! talented 🔥
I am certain that if I tried this I would fold under the pressure...
This is amazing! I genuinely never thought I'd be sitting watching someone fold paper for nearly an hour, but it was fascinating to see it all taking shape. Incredible.
I don't understand how you can do this. So cool!
Dude, crumple it into a ball in your hands, soak it in water, burry it in dirt for a month. Dig it up, uncrumple it and set it to dry in the sun. BOOM! Just shaved a year off your prep folding time :D
I just watched you do it, and I still can't believe its real lol. This is some seriously next level talent.
And then throws it at the kid at the front of the class when teacher's not looking
Bravo! 👏👏👏 Your work should be on display in a museum. Seriously! The amount of painstaking effort to get this kind of detailed result (which is also so great to view from many angles!) is truly impressive and I think you should get more recognition for what you’re doing 😃
Man, I get RSI just watching this.
I would love to see an old Japanese Origami Master's reaction to seeing this...
This is simply amazing!!!
Fucking insane talent
bet AI can make this faster
But why?
Mesmerizing. Thank you!
I can barely fold my laundry ☹
I find it so interesting that his time lapse never catches him measuring for his folds. Obviously the position of each fold would have to be very precise in order to accomplish the finer details necessary to produce the final product, but his video shows him just, you know, eyeballing it. If he does use some sort of measuring device to align the folds, why wouldn't the time lapse ever show that aspect of the behind the scenes?
I measure by folding. There is no eyeballing to it, it would be too imprecise, usually. I just kind of fold the paper in half and then half again to divide the folds into denser grid, and also use geometirc folding techniques to make divisions of 3,5, and 7. That way I can achieve a lot if different divisions, such as 1/72 which was used for this one. After the grid I make diagonal folds connecting the cross sections of previous folds. Then there are the Huzita-Hatori axioms which are used to perform all sorts of other geometrical folds. I could have used ruler and pencil marks to measure distances and so on, but it is so much slower that the precreasing part of the video would have been like 3x longer.
brilliant
This is what youtube is made for. Great work man!
jesus christ, it's jason bourne
Wow, the most amazing part of this is that the music still sounds good at 2x speed
AMAZING! And beautiful
This is absolutely amazing! I can't imagine the practice it took to be able to create such amazing pieces like this!
I need a time-lapse for this time-lapse
I saw it, I know this guy is amazing but somehow my brain can't believe this kind of talent is real.
What a beautiful mind to be able to do this even if you worked at it from nothing. Simply beautiful.
One square is a lot, if you ask me 😄
Your work is absolutely incredible, it belongs in a museum
relax Indiana
I am absolutely fascinated by this, like what does the process look like? I'm mindblown
Anyone here from Reddit?
I think this is AI
I don’t see how that’s even possible.
Absolutely astounding
Hey I've been following you since you posted a bug in reddit. You've been away for so long are you still folding? I loved your dedication man. Post some small scaled tutorials sometime.
