a double-as-thick alu-plate would be ideal for mounting-stiffness (and half-as-broad, to not add weight)... also, a 2nd alu-bracket an inch beside the 1st-one seems advisable... still, minimum investment, since most "strange-frame"-bikes (with more favorable mounting-situations from the get-go) will demand even less (mount-engineering and -investment) than that, so, I´m positively surprised ...!!!

Jim Thanks for the review! I just want to be clear on how it operates. So when on it senses wheel moving and powers up. And powers down when brakes applied. Does hitting the "throttle" button give a boost? And it works the same in power and eco mode?? Thanks in advance. I'm thinking of getting a pair for wife and I. P.s. have you had to change the wear strip on motor alot?

So, when triggered, does the motor output whatever power level it is set to, and that plus pedaling effort determines travel speed? i.e., the motor power isn't throttled by pedaling effort or a manual throttle? Presume the torque curve is pretty flat on a brush motor like this?

This was great information. I’m very close to getting this for my drift trike to help climb up small inclines. The one part I’m confused about is the throttle. In the video it looks like the motor kicked in automatically once it sensed the wheel moving. Is that’s the case, what’s the throttle needed for aside for changing modes? Or perhaps I’m miss understanding and the throttle is really more like an off/on button; on engages automatic motor when wheel moves.

Hello, I'm thinking of trying the QROLL in a manual wheelchair with one motor on each 24' wheel. I need really slow speed (1-15 km/h), but I have a few questions, hope you can help me. How does the device adjust the speed once it's powered on? I guess it would work like it seems in the video, keeping the speed of the last push, but will it reduce it or stop just manually braking? Do we need to push the black button to release the motor and then brake? Nice review, thanks a lot for your help and comments.

How did you make it. Do you have a guide wit lengths and cut?
