Nice to meet you, I'm Nina
I am a full-time Russian teacher and a part-time artist and anthropologist.
Learning a language for me isn’t just about memorizing grammar, it is about understanding how the words we pronounce shape the way we think. Every language carries its own philosophy, encrypted in its grammar and its choice of words. You can learn about it by closely studying what it is saying.
On this channel, we don’t just study Russian; we explore the unique worldview it has to offer.
I break down complex grammatical concepts with fun, easy-to-follow lessons, and show you how language can open doors to deeper cultural insights.
No matter what language you're studying or how deeply you're into it, I want to help you make it a meaningful part of your life and positively impact all areas of your interests.
I offer:
• 1-on-1 Russian lessons
• Literature discussions

Speak on any topic ( even advance level topic ) & provide russian subtitles . Such videos are very helpful . Gracias !

I love your vlogs dear nina but Im curious to see how russian homes looks like from inside so please show us from inside and could please make next vlog on street : 105064 Sadovaya- chernogryazskaya street, because one of my loved one lives there ))
Thanks a lot, I’m glad that you liked it! 😉 I don’t live in Russia though so I can’t make the videos you requested immediately, but I definitely noted them for future 😄😌 Although I got to be honest: I don’t quite imagine what is that what people want to see inside a Russian apartment, since the apartments I lived/been in are in no way different from any normal apartment in the west (well besides the fact that we have wallpaper on the walls 😂) and then each apartment is different depending on who lives in it.
Full English and Russian scripts are waiting for you to read them here: www.patreon.com/collection/885891 And now tell me, what was the most UNclear thing about the video? 😜
I can always watch all the videos about Moscow. Thank you, Nina.

@@ninaandrussian Классно, рад слышать что можешь удобно выспаться, это очень полезно для здоровья)) Да, я сразу представил что это слово значит - "To look back (on something) and analyze"
Забыла ответить где я: последние несколько месяцев я провела в России, на дальнем востоке, но скоро хочу переехать в новые страны. Расскажу об этом, когда всё получится 🙂🤞🤞
@@ninaandrussian Ты сейчас в России 😮 Пожалуйста, скажи мне что ты в Москве
@manalishi_hs к сожалению нет! :)
Hi, Nina. Greetings from Brazil. This is the first time I watched one of your videos and I really enjoyed it. Russian is a wonderful language. I would love to learn it.
Hi, thanks for your comment, I'm so happy to hear that! I wish I released more videos every month so that you had more videos to watch :) But I still have some good ones to watch if you are a beginner, I hope you enjoy them and I'll be glad to hear from you again!
Did you enjoy reflecting on these questions? Which one was your favourite? Any new words that you've learned from this video?
Thank you. That's motivating.
Спасибо! Рада слышать 😊
Nina Deus abençoe sou do brasil🇧🇷
Happy new year Nina!

Привет и спасибо! It’s good to see you back. Как дела? Your time away sounds great. Love the idea of Moscow and Russian walk-about videos, one day I will travel but I’ll settle for videos for now. My Russian learning is still ongoing but there is always progress so that’s what I’m happy about for 2023, and being more social, and new job! Talk again soon, пока 👋
Привет! Glad to hear so many wonderful things happened to you this year!
I've been learning Russian for a year now. I think those are great ideas... I'm looking forward to more videos. :)
Спасибо 🧡🧡🧡
Расскажите, как прошёл ваш год? Какой год вам больше понравился: 2022 или 2023? ;)
Лучше бы этих годов вообще не было. Как бы произошел разрыв временного пространства.
С нетерпением жду вашего следующего видео.
Спасибо!
This was a great and informative video :) thank you!
Thank you for your kind comment! 💞
"Promo SM"
Thanks for the video nina.greetings from Nairobi 🇰🇪
Thank you for these so useful exercises! I had to stop trying them when my house mate asked me "Are you killing a seal?" from the room right near, but until that I really improved my pronunciation!
😂😂😂😂 I hope all this seal killing wasn’t in vain 🤣
@@ninaandrussian Not at all! Very detailed but concise :)
Very good idea of thinking of them as a river and as a goat. I'll remember that as I learn verbs of motion, for sure! As a funny side-note, you somehow really made me want to watch that movie lol. I like how you worked that in there. It's on US Netflix atm, and I'll give it a watch. Thanks!
Thank you, Ryan! The movie is great, I'm really glad this video somehow managed to promote it 😄 So I hope you'll le it, приятного просмотра!
Спасиба. I had a lot of fun with this video making eeeee ooooo sounds hopefully the neighbours didn't hear anything. I shall be practising the Ы with the video. Great clear explanation with the tongue position. I have been fairly lazy in my pronunciation of ы by pronouncing it as И. Are there any situations in written Russian where the Ы sound changes depending on where in the word it is placed?👍
Thank you! I understand that it takes a lot of effort to pronounce proper sounds in a foreign language, but I wish you to master your Ы! As for your question, no, if you read the letter Ы, you know it's pronounced as Ы. It may sound shorter or longer, but the qualities of the sound are the same. But remember that there are a couple of situations where the written letter is different but the sound it gives is Ы. The most important example: letter combinations ШИ and ЖИ cannot be spelled with ы, only и. But in pronunciation, the sound will be the hard Ы.
If you are interested in learning some more Russian and understanding the culture, the name of my TH-cam channel is "A morsel of Russian=)". Here's a song from the channel: m.th-cam.com/video/Oe2bCG0D8i8/w-d-xo.html
Отлично.... Спасибо.... Привет из Англии 🙏🏻🙋🏻♂
👋👋😄
ты очень красивая и умная. Я американец учит русский. Спасибо за хороши урок.
Спасибо! 🙂 успехов!
Oh thank you very much. The visual explanation is really helpful!
I’m beyond happy to hear that!!
Лучше говори на русском с англисками субтитрами! 🙂
What's with the backwards "R" symbol because you don't make any "R" sound when I'm reading what you're saying.
Я - is the Russian letter for the sound [ya], it’s a vowel. It also means “I” as in “I am, I do etc”
This was a very helpful lesson. Yes, I told a Russian speaker I was "excited" and, well let's just say they were shocked. 😂😂😂 Using the words you mentioned, how would we say, "I'm excited for you"? For example, "Я в восторге..." для тебя? От тебя? За? Спасибо вам.
I'm so glad you found it useful! Я в восторге *ОТ* + Genitive (2nd) case. Я в восторге от тебя, я в восторге от этого фильма etc. If I may know a broader context, I could probably give more advice on how to use it in your sentence :))
