Great job to you and your family installing the carpet in moms Caddy. Do it your way. Before retiring, I worked as an auto tech and never found too much glue on carpet insulation. Just on the older vintage cars that had a heavy tar paper like insulation. Thanks for sharing.

What a ride! The newbie stretch limousines don’t hold a candle to the classic, factory built limousines which were luxury defined. Great to get that carpet issue resolved. My dad bought a new 1958 Buick 4 door hardtop that had the Autronic Eye headlight dimmer like this Caddy. Thanks for the memories. (sent an email to you)

I stumbled upon the fleetwood series 75 in a salvage yard. All there. But wouldn’t sell it. I paid a few 100 to take whatever i needed off of it. Took the entire A/C system. I have a 60 series 62. With a Fleetwood interior package

In the early to mid 1980s when I was looking for a `59 (I was about 20 at the time), I was searching a local paper called the Want Ad Press. I remember there being an ad for one of those for sale, as well as a `59 hearse. The guy's name was John Dendy. I never forgot. I have no recollection of what state or anything, but both cars were in near perfect shape, and he was asking a lot for them. Oh. I just had a flash of memory on that. It might have been Texas, maybe Fort Worth.

The car looks really solid and straight. But in any case will be an expensive restoration. It’s great that you were able to rescue this car, and found a buyer who can afford to restore it. Kitty is very sweet. Cats bring so much joy and humor into the world🐈
