1997 F150 4.2 XL no-start, repaired, walk around

Recent purchase, a1997 F150 4.2 XL. Bought it not running, and had had a couple mechanics changing stuff out. After a couple days, it's repaired, and running; still needs exhausts welded. A note: The mechanics were chasing a very hot exhaust and no power. They swapped out the cam synchronizer, crankshaft position sensor, changed the fuel pump, and "cleaned" the catalytic converters (read: destr...
1987 F150 new rebuilt Holley 600

1987 F150 351w H.O., factory 4180 Holley Carb. After sitting up around 17 yrs. I replaced the original carb with a 30 dollar Holley 600 I bought and rebuilt. The stock carb was leaking. This video is after installation, but with the bench settings. Still have to dial it in.

1977, 78, 79 PY10 This is an old Peugeot PX-10 I bought in Grenoble, France for 70 euros. Gave it a cleaning and renewed all the grease, trued the tires, and it was a wonderful ride.

Was this ever fixed? Mines having the same issue.
My battery was faulty, but since it was within the warranty period, I returned it to my local Lowe's (along with my initial purchase receipt) and got a store credit. Then I went online and bought another. The 80V series isn't sold in the local stores. They're online only, so Lowe's would only give me a store credit. I first called warranty support. They took my info and complaint, and gave me an email address to Lowe's post-purchase support to get it all sorted out. The warranty support phone number was on the Lowe's site warranty page of the product I had purchased. I just searched on item number from my original receipt, and clicked on the warranty PDF. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the comment. This truck has been sitting for about 17 yrs, and it was in pretty rough shape. I did all the work myself because it would be hard to pay someone to do all it needed, and because I didn't know anyone I trusted who would do it anyway. What's wrong with your truck?
A cap full of STP will help quite that power steering pump.... motor sounds good..

did a Saginaw pump conversion from a 92 E150 van from the junk yard a few months back. Was easy to do, and it's quiet now. Highly recommend this upgrade.
I'm wanting to do mine now tired of messing with it.

What transmission does it have?
Idk what’s wrong with my 93 Ford I put it on gear to back or front and the motor shakes bad I checked and everything good do you know what would be wrong with it I would appreciate it
@@samuelgomez381 It has the E4OD automatic 4-speed transmission.
@@samuelgomez381 Hard to say without being there, but I would start looking at the idle speed in gear, the timing, fuel delivery, and make sure they're all in spec. Then I'd check the engine mounts. Loads of things can make it shake. Just have to search on how to diagnose, and go through them 1 by 1. Thanks for stopping by, Samuel!
