Beautiful Solomon Choo.......
Thank you
@solomonchoo4967 you are welcome
Hey bra, love what you are doing. Bringing the Islands back to the mainland. I'm married to a Hawaiian girl. Been with her for 48 years. She was my one and only highschool sweetheart. We haven't been back for at least 8 years for health reasons. Bless you bra.

Very Cool...
Good morning, Solomon. I'm new to your channel, and I tried to leave a comment on your great JJ Cale After Midnight video, but comments were turned off. I liked your cover very much, the one in Open G. JJ is one of my favorite guitar player/singers. Question for you. I see what you are doing with the thumb and baseline, but what are strings were you trying to hit with your other fingers? Are you raking down and pulling them up? Is there a specific pattern you are using. It sounded great!
@@davidspencer2333 aloha David, nice to hear from you. I’ll need to look at the video again. How did you find my video? It has the most views of all my videos. Seems like folks like “ how to “ videos.
@solomonchoo4967 JJ is a favorite of mine, and I was looking for an Open G version of After Midnight. Yours was the best. I just need a little more information on what you were doing with your right hand! Thanks.
Looks like i was going thumb , down up with my fingers on strings 234. Slow the video down and play along. As many times as necessary.That’s what i do now days. To slow the video down press the three dots at the top right hand corner of the video, if you didn’t know. Also use clip to loop a phrase. Improvise your own version. Use your ears. Have fun.
@@solomonchoo4967Thanks!

Fun stuff. Met a lot of nice people on the Big Island years ago. Stayed out by Neil and Cecelia's place for a while. Got a guitar case from Sonny. Played music with Jack Night at the Regency and Alan Hale at the International Market. Rode the bus driven by Debbie and also Richard! Mahalo. @@burlingtonbill4687 thanks for watching. Im going to check your channel. Where is your home?
Good job Solomon!
A few years back while wintering in Kona. Rosie and I would walk from our Condo just outside of Kona to the downtown area. Walking past a beach along Alii drive I noticed a lady and her family having a picnic. She was playing some songs on her guitar. I asked if I could join in and soon, she would play and then I would play. What a beautiful Hawaiian family she had. I'm not sure if we even made it to town that day. I’m loving it. On this video I’m playing my lap steel guitar that was gifted to me. Good to hear from you, i was wondering if you had to move. Enjoy your time today, do what you love ❤️
The lap steel was given to me from my friend’s wife, the guy in the seventh picture, blue shirt beard . He couldn’t take it with him.😢
Oh, so sorry to hear about your friend. Yeah man, i had to go back up north. It's a bit of a drag , the cold weather. oh well, things to take care of here too i guess. Lapsteel sounds great! Keep on keepin" on. Have great start to the week.
