Ein paar Eindrücke und Einblicke vom Warbird Meeting 2024 auf dem Modellflugplatz des FSV 1910 - Karlsruhe.
Etwa 50 Modellpiloten aus ganz Deutschland und der Schweiz trafen sich in Süddeutschland vom 9. bis 12. Mai bei bestem Wetter und zeigten dort ihre wunderschönen Flugmodelle.

Dietmar Metz zeigt seinen Starfighter ("Fatty" design) mit selbst konstruierter Vektor Steuerung. Das Indoor-Modell ist komplett aus sehr leichtem Schaum Material (Depron) hergestellt. This Bf109 G-4 is exhibited at Technik-Museum Speyer/Germany. This Fighter Plane was built in Wiener-Neustadt (Austria) in 1942 and used on the Eastern Front. After a three-year restoration in Ilaly, the aircraft was returned to Germany to the Technik-Museum Speyer, where it is still on display today. Awesome to watch warbirds anytime. More enjoyable with experienced operators who know how to land, especially with that gnarly wind - great job guys! Hopefully this will get many views and people pick something up. That howling FW190 would have scared shit out of anyone on the ground back in the day.
Der Steuerknüppel mit den Signaturen der Legenden! Hajo Herrmann habe ich erkannt. Vielleicht ist Hannes Trautloft, Günther Rall etc auch verewigt? Der Besitzer kann sehr stolz. Mein Großvater flog mit ihnen. Tolle Modelle!

Ja, die gibt es natürlich noch. Ein Teil von ihnen war dieses Jahr auf der ProWing 2023 in Soest.
Glückwunsch zu dem tollem Video. Ein schöner Platz mit tollen Modellen. Auch die Qualität der Aufnahmen ist sehr gut. Habe mich erst vor kurzen erst dazu entschlossen eine Mustang P-51 aufzubauen. Wenn die fertig ist komme ich euch gerne mal besuchen. VG Uwe

The ME 109 g? Looks amazing. One of my favourite alongside the TA152. SHame you cannot represent it with proper tail markings.
Hallo Joachim ! Ich habe diese schöne Maschine ja schon in Mannheim beim Hallenfliegen bewundern können. Welche Luftschraube verwendest Du für diesen Antrieb ? Ein 2204 Motor müßte eigentlich auch ausreichen, oder ? In der Mitte der Tragfläche hast Du eine kleine Platine eingebaut, wozu dient die ? Ist das ein Verteiler für die Stromversorgung der Servos und LED für die Positionsleuchten ? Um die mehrfachen Stromadern bzw. Servostecker zu sparen ? Hast DU da auch gleich Vorwiderstände für die LED eingebaut ? SMD etwa ? Wie schwer würdest Du dieses Modell abschätzen wenn das 1 mm DEPRON durch 3 mm Depron ersetzt wäre ? Ich frage Dich weil ich wieder mal Lust bekomme auch wieder mal ein leichtes Indoormodell zu bauen, diesmal etwas vergleichbar vorbildnahes, habe aber nur 3 mm DEPRON zur Verfügung. Hallo, danke das dir das Modell gefällt. Aktuell verwende ich eine 8X3 Luftschraube. Vorher hatte ich sogar eine 9X3 drauf. Damit ist sie aber total übermotorisiert. Ich habe den Antrieb genommen weil ich sowieso das Gewicht vorne gebraucht habe. Sicherlich geht auch ein leichterer Motor. Die Platine steuert nur die Beleuchtung. Vorwiederstände musste ich nicht verbauen, da die Platine das alles regelt. Schwer zu schätzen was das Model mit 3 mm Depron auf die Waage bringt. Denke schon 60-70 Prozent mehr.
@@warbirdachim Danke für die Antwort ! Kennst Du eine Quelle für 1 mm DEPRON ( oder 1,5 mm ) außer Jürgen Schöhnle ? Ich hatte vor einiger Zeit einen entfernt ähnlichen Hochdecker ( ohne reales Vorbild ) aus 3 mm DEPRON gebaut, da reichte allerdings ein 2204 nicht mehr aus, ich baute dann einen Motor der 50 Gramm Klasse ein ( 2212 ???? ) und 3 Zellen waren dann auch angesagt. Da war das Gewicht nicht mehr wirklich zu halten, mit etwa 600 Gramm Abfluggewicht ist das "Modell" für die Halle nicht mehr geeignet, jedenfalls nicht bei meinen begrenzten Fähigkeiten als RC Pilot. Übrigens: ein gutes neues Jahr, auch wenn es jetzt schon ein paar Tage alt ist !

@@warbirdachim hey I’m curious if it would be cheaper to buy a small scrap jet or plane and make it a rc instead of building one from Ground up. I’d think practically everything is same except for load made for carrying people. So a real plane would handle more g anyway.

This Fw 190 is not from a kit, it is built from scratch!
For a great scale FW 190 kit, Focke RC is a great place to look.

Any radio control modeler that makes a German World War II fighter and Purposely deletes the Swastika on the vertical fin is obviously politically correct and liberal ! So scared 🤣🤣🤣
The swastika is banned in Deutschland (Germany) by the likes of Merkle and the twits there that believe history can be re-written by banning the truth. If you display the swastika openly you will be heavily fined and/or arrested. Not the choice of the model maker. If you watch any model meets in Germany you will see more of the same.(search Oberhausen) the same is evident in America by the removal of statues of Confederate soldiers allowed by weak law enforcement 2 summers ago. Yes, it is crazy but more is surely to come and soon.
