As someone who used to longboard, well I still do but I am not as intensely risky nowadays, but the cause of this is improper rear truck tightness. If the rear is too loose, it's much more likely that you will get wobble and beef it, as they used to say in the thrasher community back in the day.

I learned to quit using slide gloves when I was 17 I’m almost 30 now and could still hit most of my turns without gear. Remember yes it’s downhill dominant but we are still surf style , just stay low and get used to falling on your butt. I ride a loaded deck . Live in WV so trust me we have great hills and mountains.
