This is too difficult to understand!

I noticed under site contents, there is a default 'Events' list. When opened it appears as a calendar where you can add events/leave etc.

As of October 2024 this does not seem to work anymore. Not for new notebooks, not for reopening an existing notebook... 😞

Not sure if it's because I'm looking at Teams a few months after your video, but I copied in an external notebook and created a tab and also tried opening a new tab onto the existing (default) notebook and neither of them allowed me to view sections.

@Connie I want to create an MS Poll embedded in a Teams post that has images. I can't seem to be able to do it. I can do this in MS Forms, but there doesn't seem to be away to embed it so that the pll can be filled out within that channel.

If I have several projects in different notebooks, and I have tagged some to do's in these notebooks is their anyway to see all tagged to do's in one list? I saw some instructions from 2016 that you could click see all tags somewhere but I'm using Microsoft 365 and don't see anything like that in the downloaded app or the online option

What if I want to find the number of days in between to columns containing date? I need to calculate based on the current date and due date how many days until something is due or how many days past due it is.

Bugs bugs bugs! - ensure you create/edit your columns in TEAMS and not in Sharepoint... in fact do this before opening Sharepoint.

Yes but my problem is that everytime I link to my one drive with my new computer, it wants to sync everything in one drive and when I try selecting certain folders only, it says cant do this while syncing!!

What email clients have this feature? In ones that don't is there another way?

You can uncheck folders as long as they are not in the Desktop, Pictures, Documents, Music, and Videos folders.

ugh, I miss my tabs across the top AND seeing all the sections and notebook along the side. Is that option gone now? It literally changed the way it looked today while I was working, suddenly different...what the heck...

Friendly advice - work on your audio. Namely - so called early reflections (audio bumping back and forth between walls of your room). If you dump those with some audio foam (or at least with curtains, thick carpet, soft blankets) - the perceived quality of your vids will jump up immediately. It is surprising how much effect you can get with this trick. Otherwise very good vid! Not many people notice details that you cover.

Thank you! Great work around! Once the auto generated 'Notes' tab has been removed, do you know if there is a way to re-generate that specific view WITHOUT deleting the channel and re-creating it. For instance, I removed the auto generated tab/view from the channel but later decided that the auto generated tab/view would be more advantageous in a couple of the channels...can I duplicate that view without deleting the channel and rebuilding it??

Looks like templates are only available on the desktop app? Kind of detracts from the Teams usage. Unless I’m missing something?

Whoops! Upon more mature reflection I think this problem has been solved. You just have to "follow" the particular channel and THIS CAN ONLY BE DONE IN SHAREPOINT. So you go to teams and then to the related "Files" site and choose "Open in Sharepoint" from the 3-dot menu and then in the upper right corner is an option with a star to FOLLOW the team. Do that and - voila - this problem of the sites not showing up goes away.

How do I search for a specific folder in Outlook? My email has a lot of folders (a folder within a folder within a folder). I can't find the option to search for a folder name. The only thing I was able to find was a certain email and the search window shows which folder it is in but the exact path of the folder is not listed

Team Owners have the ability to archive a Team. Go to 'Your Teams', it's under the ellipsis at the top of the main list of Teams in the app. In the list click the ellipsis on the right hand side of the Team you want to archive and click 'Archive' from the list, no admin role necessary.
