For home we sing! (Tiny Desk Contest)
I first wrote this song during a bout of homesickness.
Albania is home to me, it's where I grew up, even though my parents are German/Italian/Iranian. But home is also a feeling. It's where we chose to put down our roots. Writing this song helped me express this feeling of human interconnected, regardless of where we are from, and where we end up. I hope that what started as a balm for my longing soul and an anthem for the diaspora can become a call for us to come together to build a better world for all. We've only got one home, after all.
