thank you
Thank you for the video, I'm new to laser, never thought it is possible to make a bag with wood!! Could you share your setting or even the design file?
Since I’m using a thin, 2.7mm, plywood it cuts and bends easily. I got the LX1 with 20w module, updated firmware and used 100,72,1 when cutting this bag. I bought the design at Etsy and scaled it to fit my material. Etsy, laser cut wooden bag clutch
@@TheFrogOnAlog Thanks for sharing, will definitely give it a try!! Just got a LP4 and have been watching TH-cam video to learn how to use it, thank you again for helping!!
Great..... How about some settings?
LP4 1064nm. High 4k for black, low 2k for different shades of brown. 4k, 100, 50, 1 2k, 1-5, 1-5, 1
this is done with the 1064nm fiber laser correct?
No, I’m using 450nm on glass.
@@TheFrogOnAlog interesting.... I will give that a try then... haven't had any luck painting black tempera on amber beer bottles and using 1064nm to etch...
Hi Where do you get the number 65.20 diameter from? I have the same tumbler and it gives me 25.50 diameter
Might be due to that 65,2 mm equals 2.55 inches. I measured the mug earlier, to 65.2 mm, with a caliper. Since I did a test round before, the value remained in that field.
So many questions, but I have only found this video. First question, what are the clips you used on your LP4 to hang the protective shield panel and where can I get them, please?
www.printables.com/model/430268-laserpecker-4-unit-magnetic-shield-holder-long? The lp4 user group is a useful source. m.facebook.com/groups/lp4users/?ref=share Feel free to ask.
Wow, wonderful job - they look very nice👍
Thanks. This was solid balsa. Next time I’ll use plywood and make them slightly bigger.
Too complicated
Hi Frog :) Do you like your LaserPecker LX1? Will you buy it again after using it? In "official" video there's mistake and default on engravure... so I'm not sure which one to buy (looking for xtool and LaserPecker LX1)
Hi. Yes, I’m quite satisfied with the hardware but the app is still a bit immature. My impression is that most problems occur when creating designs in the app but since I manage all graphic in Illustrator I’m not affected by that. I test everything; graphic, material, settings, orientation, rotation, before going live so I’m very rarely negative surprises by the outcome. I’ve no experience of other lasers then LP.
Do you just use design space? I want to use light burn with my lx1 max. But it always freezes up during jobs if I do.
I’m using Illustrator to arrange the file into engraving, inner and outer cuts before exporting to Design Space. So I’m not using DS for designing or modification, just to control the laser.
A video on how you do that to prep for design space would be great. I have some files I want to do that need cuts, lines, and engraves and I can’t get them separated right in design space
what's the power and depth you were using?
P-100, D-10
I suspect that a lot of us who just got our LP 4 (and like me-new to lasers-are out looking for videos like yours. Thank you for recording. Please give us more in your description, or just ask through what you are doing. There is not a lot of info out there yet, and videos like yours could really help!
Hi. Yes, some of these videos are quite brief. I link them into the lp4 fb group where you will find more info.
@@TheFrogOnAlog Thanks! I am in one of those groups…I will look.
That's very cool, so did the laser actually etch the glass or did you have to put something on the glass ?
Thanks. It’s a permanent white etching.
@@TheFrogOnAlog yes yes but did the laser etch it or did you have to use etching cream or paste ?
The laser etches it. @@Austeration
Hello what did you use for black paint please
Well done. New LP4 owner here, I appreciate the tips. Happy engraving, friend!
Nice! What is the spray you use?
Black Tempera. A water based paint aimed for kids. I’m using a paint gun but airbrush or foam brush also works well.
