did you learn the basics by a tutorial or what, cause i want to script too, but watching tutorials is just so boring for me
@@za5ld897 yeah same for me I like reading it so I used Lua scripting or smth its a roblox game you can join then I made a New place and tried to do the code I Just learned and play with it, Just alot of trial and error honestly
Tutorials are great, if tutorials bore you I would recommend checking out some web tutorials. But I would advice you to watch a few episodes of youtubers who teach roblox scripting (E.g thedevking, he's pretty straight forward and explains stuff easily)
I'd advise caution with tutorials. While they’re incredibly helpful, there’s a risk of falling into what’s commonly called "tutorial hell." This is a very real phenomenon where you end up relying on tutorials for every project. You might feel confident, thinking, "I’ve got this!" but when you try to create something independently, you find yourself going back to search for yet another tutorial. When I first started developing on Roblox, I went through a brief phase in tutorial hell. Fortunately, I had a friend who worked with me 1:1, which helped me learn the basics a lot faster, and better than tutorials ever could! Here's my top recommendation: start with a tutorial to learn the basics, such as how to create a health bar. Once you’ve followed along and built it, close the tutorial, and then challenge yourself by creating something similar-like a shield bar-without any external help. No matter how tempting, don’t reopen the tutorial! If you can successfully build the shield bar, it’s a sign that you truly understood the principles, rather than just copying steps. This approach ensures you’re actually learning rather than passively following instructions, and it’s what helped me progress quickly.

A little thing u should add is tiny bits of greenery onto the rocks on cliffs, when I do it I think it makes rocks look less bland and it helps blend it in to all the green
