My name is Vineeth, and I am an external team employee of Switchboard ELDs, handling operations related to electronic logging device (ELD) services. I am writing to bring to your attention a serious safety and compliance concern associated with Switchboard ELD’s log-editing processes in both Canada and the United States. This complaint highlights potential non-compliance with ELD mandates and data security issues that, I believe, require immediate investigation and corrective action. Since the ELD mandates were implemented in the USA in 2019 and Canada in 2023, Switchboard ELDs has engaged in practices involving the editing of auto-generated driving time logs to expand client bases and profits. A team of approximately 10-15 employees, including myself, based in India and Pakistan, manages these edits for Switchboard’s clients. Notably, some clients have been involved in accidents while using our devices, which raises concerns about the safety of our log-editing processes. The editing process involves clients calling in to make driving time adjustments, with requests often conducted in Punjabi. This practice is intended to obscure the content of the recordings, reducing the chance of detection. Additionally, during NSC or DOT audits, our software team has been instructed to alter logs, removing violations and other problematic edits to present a compliant record. Furthermore, I am concerned about the unsecured sharing of sensitive trucking company data with employees outside North America. Several employees who raised these issues internally have been terminated. This pattern suggests a potentially harmful culture within the organization, discouraging transparency and raising concerns about employee retaliation. I need help please. I can login to my account just fine, but how do I get the Blue “LOG” square to appear? I don’t have that so I can’t change my duty status. When I had the Keep Truckin app at my old job it was soo much easier. I’m just lost now and I can’t do any longer runs with my current job without this app working. Any help is appreciated thanks.
