Wow! That thing is painfully slow. Looks like it is going less than 10 foot per minute. Guess because they are using such a small cheap motor gearbox assembly, going any faster will result in self destruction. Also, that rat nest of wiring in the controller is a sign of poor quality in my view. And if he gets stuck between floors for whatever reason, there is no way to access the machine equipment to lower or raise him out safely. You would have to climb on top the old dude and start tearing into the cab just to access the machine space. He talked about “code” concerning securing the wire ropes but violates code when it comes to accessing the machine space.

You didn't show how you load it, doesn't look like scoop and mix type of thing, looks almost like a concrete carrier or your shoveling/loading with another piece of equipment.

How are we supposed to gauge it's effectiveness without seeing it in action?

So let me get this right if the elevator is at the bottom anyone upstairs can fall down a great big hole upstairs and when the baby is crawling around down stairs and the grandpal doesn't see the baby down stairs he crushes the poor baby uhhhh I'll pass bad set up should have thought it out better.

The elevator meets all aspects of A17.1, Part V for residential elevators. It has a motor break, dual cables that are tested to 7,000 lbs. each, a slack cable device that will lock the car to the track in the event either cable was to break or go slack, an electrical monitor of the tautness of the cables, and is the only shaft-less elevator manufactured in the United States with ETL listing of the controller. Combined with the first ever full battery operation of an elevator, this unit is technically above most units that one can purchase for home use. Though rated for 400 lb. capacity, the elevator has had over 2,000 lbs. placed on the car to meet required static load tests.

Not using any counter weight, Not using any braking system. is this kind of lift is safe? what will happened when wire rope cable broken? lift will fall down.

Baby Bunch. Yes, the manufacturer (Staying Home Corporation) did think of those things. There are manual levers that work in the event of a power outage. On the inside, there are supports that prevent the shelter from closing on those inside. And the control button is keyed to prevent an evil-doer from trying to close the shelter. The manufacturer is very experienced at designing equipment where safety is paramount. Some of the great advantages to this type of shelter is that students don't have to venture down a hallway when something bad happens. They can get in the shelter very fast, and that can save lives. Let me know if you have any other concerns, and I'll be glad to address them.

These are a horrible idea whoever the maker is,what if the power goes out?? You wont be ablebto turn it on to make open.Does it have a manual lever to open it..seems dangerous during a shooting as the person outside can push the buttom to close it,squishing all the people inside to death..Im assumimg the maker didnt think abouy this
