Short: Ohio Reformatory - ITW
To celebrate Sarah's birthday, last week, we embarked on a much needed vacation after several all-nighters. We decided on a few days in Mansfield Ohio touring the abandoned The Ohio State Reformatory. We chose the self guided tour with hand held devices to learn about each part of the building we visited. We highly recommend this tour. It was very easy to navigate, the staff is supportive AND though some of the stories are very tragic, it's not scary at all. Any leftover inmate energy was not rude in the least!

Nicely done video. I lived just northwest of Beavercreek and within 1 mile of the Beavercreek, Ohio moderate to high end EF-3 tornado....which I video taped in 3 videos that evening, May 27, 2019 while we were under a tornado warning. I knew that particular tornado would barely miss me to my south as this tornado moved to a east/southeast direction into northern Beavercreek. We did not lose power and got light rain and barely heard that tornado....a dull jet engine noise is all I heard and we had light to moderate winds and had just very minor damage where I lived in NW Beavercreek at that time, but my workplace before I retired in Beavercreek/Riverside lost its roof and part of a south wall from that tornado. Really a Memorial Day evening I will never forget.

The only international kmart is in Australia and they are all open at all times and it's not even going to be closing down permanently at all times the Australian version of kmart's stronger than the American kmart's where closing down permanently all of it's doors

I live a little north of Dayton, but I’m a heavy equipment operator and dump truck driver in the trades working in Dayton every day. It is so sad to say that now, April 2024, most of these places still look the same to this day. Still, in some neighborhoods, there’s roofs with blue tarps on them every where you look.

My first concert was Ratt. It was their 'Out of the Cellar' tour. I think it was 1983/4? The Hara family heirs fought each other until no estate remained. With all do respect, those of us who survived or lived through Xenia's 1974 F5 tornado, this is 'something' but not the 'be all'. Now, if Trotwood or Riverside were 'wiped off the map', then you'd have it. Thank GOD & good fortunate, that didn't occur.

Me and my friends went on this ship last year, and it was pretty cool. But if you plan on boarding, make sure you hold onto the metal beams on the top deck because there are holes in the deck that lead down to the hold. Also be careful near the engine area as there are no railings and you could fall 10 feet down to the rusty waterlogged engine. There is a ladder near the back of the ship. Be carful and Have fun! Edit: There is also a trailer park near it so be respectful.

The ship and the property around it is also private; so you could be trespassed if caught on board or fooling around it.

I was right there on I-75 and caught the on dashcam as I headed south. I was one of the 1st to render aid. It was such a crazy night. One of the tornados passed behind me, and then I drove into the 2nd one. The southern one on I-75 is the one I drove into. I'll never forget the screams and those buildings. It was the wildest storm I ever experienced.

I worked at Joyland from 1972 until the end of the Summer in 1976. My entire last summer, I was almost always running the Whacky Shack which was fun for everyone. I remember going upstairs and getting my check from the Nelsons; they were great people to work for back in those days. My best friend was hired to run the go-cart track and he never ran anything else. Still, I was lucky enough to get trained on all the rides and can remember some summer days, walking groups of patrons from one ride to another and running them because we didn't have enough operators on hand some days. At night we had operators on all the rides and it seems as soon as it got dark, it was time to close up. When my dad retired to Myrtle Beach, SC, in 1976, I got a job at the MB Pavilion Amusement Park using my experience at Joyland, and in 1977, I met my girlfriend who became my wife in 1978 when we both went off to college. We both have fond memories of working in an amusement park but unfortunately, both Joyland and the Pavilion are gone now.

That Kelly Ave was a disaster. I was showing one of the apartment buuldings to a client just a few days prior. I was stunned to drive through the area just a week after the damage occurred. Honestly I cried as I drove through various areas. Sinclair Park, Northridge, Trotwood, Beavercreek and more. Shoup Mill Road, Riverside Drive. Just heartbreaking. As a Realtor I needed to know the damage to homes occupied by clients and friends. I helped as I could.

Nice video. One side of my street was hit that night (my side) here in Huber Heights .. Luckily my house only lost a few shingles and some siding. We did have massive trees split and fall everywhere. One was just inches away from taking out half of my house. We took shelter in our small bathroom with mattresses over top of us and could feel the walls and house shaking as it came through. I can honestly say that right at that moment, that was the first time in my entire life, I wasn't sure if we (my 2 kids, my mom, and i) were going to be okay or not smh. It was the most terrifying and unsettling feeling I've ever felt. Especially when my kids started panicking and crying and my 10 year old hugging her 2 year old baby brother just kept asking over and over if we were going to be okay the closer she could here it getting to us 🥺. As a mom that (usually) always has everything under control, it was truly a helpless feeling. Now looking back at these videos and all the devastation, I thank God again for how blessed and protected we were that night 🙏
