Regular siege community died arround ~2009-10 unfortunately. Yeah i loved it too. Played since 2004.

ᴅᴀʀᴛʜᴅᴏᴍᴀɴ Holy shit. How did people manage to play it that long if there's only three maps? At least I only knew of three. Are there any servers up at the moment? I saw like three on Siege's website, one had 6 players on it. I have to try it out. I played it first in 2005 I think, wow the nostalgia.

I know this comment is pretty old but incase you are still wondering I used to play it a number of years ago. It was already pretty old back then but luckily the game developers made it so anyone could host a server. So basically there was always servers up. If you hadn't updated the game to the newest patch there was only a few servers up and running. But if you updated to the newest patch a while back there was at least 3 times as many servers. Each with custom maps, and different game modes. Some servers were just for hanging out. While others re-created some single player maps just with many people. Some of the custom maps were amazing though. Like Jedi's home maps, a few others I don't remember the names of. One had a secret room, if you could find it, which would destroy the main room chambers so there was lava and stuff in it. There was also a court room type room where you could get sent down into the basement with a rancor which you couldn't' escape. There were a few websites online that offered the maps all you had to do was follow the instructions to add the map to your game and as long as you had the map you could join the server with the map. There were a lot of maps that kinda were obvious first attempts which weren't that good but there were some that were outstanding (ie jedi's home 1, 2). Some people even took existing maps from multiplayer that were only so big and the game developers cut off parts or only showed the exterior of a building you weren't able to go into and the custom maps would actually add onto it and make it explorable etc. Some turned out great but were rare to find on servers. If you became pretty good at the game or had played it long enough you could find lots of secrets, and exploits to getting to different parts of certain maps. Was lots of fun, and quite a bit of re-playability I felt. Though I did get burnt out from playing it for so long. But before I quit playing I knew most secrets to the original maps like getting up to spots you weren't suppose to be able to get up to. And with some servers they allowed the grappling hook which allowed you twice as many spots you could try and get to. One thing which I enjoyed, but didn't enjoy the fact there wasn't really many of them was the siege maps. Most servers would never play them idk why. It was a lot of fun to me. Some maps were way to huge though, and some were really difficult. If you were lucky to find a few good servers that would play those maps and had enough people you could have a blast. But you could easily tell some of those maps were way to difficult on purpose it seemed like. Like the Hoth map was pretty easy to win as the empire unless the rebels continued to destroy the walker before you had a chance to use it. Or you would get some idiot in it who wouldn't know what to do and waste everyone's time walking around not doing what hes suppose to. But yeah the modding for that game went to insane lengths to extend the re-playability. And they were all free which made it even better. I really was hopping by now they would have had a new jedi knight game come out with updated graphics cause the sword fighting in that game is amazing. One of the few games out there where I consider the sword play being amazing.
