My library used to use it along with BorrowBox. They have decided to ditch Libby, which is such a shame.

If you can't find a book, ask your local library to go out of state to find it for you.

Are you saying the audiobooks when searching are from audible and not the local library? Also, it takes me about 2 months to listen to an audiobook and I don't think they will allow me to take it on loan for that long. I thought this video was a way to download audible for free.

Problem since Nov 2024 is that libraries, using Libby (most libraries do subscribe to Libby to manage their ebooks/audio books) will not allow you to download to an external device to listen offline. They use to offer OverDrive app/site(the parent company of Libby) where you could download the book to an offline device to listen. This is what swimmers use. The Shokz swim headphones is a waterproof headset that lets you download media to it so you can listen while swimming. The libraries removed that function in Nov 2024 by disabling the OverDrive function because the parent company did not want to offer that option anymore. Which means you can download the audiobook to your phone, PC, tablet etc and listen from there but NOT able to download the book to an external device (waterproof Shokz) to listen offline. Which now means that services like Audible ($$$$$) are the only way to download books to offline devices. Grrrrrr. PS-BT’ing your phone, sitting next to the pool doesn’t work well and you need a waterproof BT headphone too. My Shokz are not BT but are waterproof.

Libby down side, NO MP3 PLAYERS ALLOWED. If you don’t have a smart phone you are out of luck and you only have 2 weeks to finish book. Yes, You can play on your computer but can’t take that on your walk.

Not sure why this video exists. It's simply how to get your book for YOUR own library via LIBBY. Its nothing special. You'd have to do it now anyway since Overdrive doe NOT exist anymore.

I know most people don't know the French were in the region for generations and that was their home. They had so much to teach the Americans about being there but was ignored by the U.S. war machine. Clear intent that the military complex was in it to generate profits and not push the Chinese out of SVN. It would have been helpful to include the French plantation scenes as it was Coppola's way to help understand we didn't learn our lessons from the French who were there before us ... key message in this part of the film.

Im a year late but subbed straight away and am going to enjoy being able to watch an episode with you whenever i like. Definitely my favourite ever show and has been for 20 years there have been other great shows but i think because this was the first show that blew my mind just how good it was i have a bias towards it maybe if id seen Breaking Bad first or Game of thrones etc.then they would top my list but the Wire is it for me. Also its criminal how many people i know in the UK who have never watched it.

Wizard and Glass is absolutely sublime… it broke my heart and made me a DT junkie.. it’s just an astounding masterpiece… by far my favorite of the series… maybe of all fiction honestly… king was just on another level with this novel

Hoopla is another library app and the audio book functions are a little better than Libby in my opinion.

I really enjoy audiobooks at work, but I am wanting to move down to a dumb phone. I just bought a cat 22 flip phone, but already I can tell it might still be too advanced. I want a DUMB phone. Like no google bullshit. No apps. So I am wondering how I can get audiobooks without, needing to be plugged in to the matrix. I honestly wish they just had cds or casettes? I mean old cds had a way to go to different songs which is the same as a chapter? So if I had a cd of an audiobook surely I could still switch between chapters?
