How to promote, grow and monetise your podcast - Journalism Innovation Podcast ep. #8
In this podcast episode, we delve into the state of the podcasting market in Europe, highlighting successful case studies from Poland and Slovakia.
To learn more, we interviewed Maciej Okraszewski, a journalist and founder of the podcast "Dział Zagraniczny," which means "Foreign Department" in Polish. The podcast features exclusive reporting and conversations with experts on global events not covered by other Polish media.
Additionally, we spoke with Dávid Tvrdoň, a journalist, podcaster, and subscription specialist at the Slovak daily SME.sk. Along with serving as a digital strategist, he is the co-founder of Slovenské podcasty, Slovakia’s independent podcast network and the Slovak Podcast Awards.
This episode focuses on how publishers and solo journalists can approach podcasting. From building a reader revenue model to finding advertisers, the pair explore the most effective strategies for monetising a podcast, all while maximising audience engagement.

The biggest scam in human history.
What climate crisis? You are bloody deluded!!
Interesting discussion. Thanks!
Marc used to make come to Toronto's HMV when he stole CDs because I was a decoy since I was First Nations. When he got caught stealing by HMV they took me too, 52 division immediately addressed me with accusations of theft until HMV security told them it was it was Mar Tuters who stole CDs-his parents got him off
Climate crisis? lol, Drink more CNN juice. You're not woke enough.
Sweden has gained .4 land since the "Climate Crisis" declaration. There is no "Climate Crisis"

Millions spent on propaganda
Who else watching this in 2024?
Propaganda
"Felt" is the key word. This generation is ruled by emotions. That is our doom. Not climate change. Because climate change has always been there. People adapt, people find ways. Ways that would beneficial not restrictive to our ways of life
Garbage video
10 thousand in the world!? are you serious???
Because they are brain dead! People of the world, PLEASE VOTE OUT LEFTEST LIBERALS!! The world is doomed by these morons.
This is all such bull crap. When will people realize Climate change is an industry to make money.
In the 70s it was the earth would freeze over and kill everyone. In the 80s it was acid rain would kill everyone. In the 90s it was the rain forest being cut down everyone would die from lack of oxygen. In 2003 an autistic 11 year old from Sweden said climate change would kill everyone in 20 years. Fear is the only way liberalism and globalism will come to fruition. Sad how stupid people are today.
Climate Change is CCP propaganda. It started in the Confucius Institutes found on every camus around the globe.
Even if there is radical climate change (and that is a very, very big 'if') with the manifestation of numerous tipping points (including permafrost thaw, ocean hydrates dissociation, Arctic sea ice loss, rainforest dieback, polar ice sheet loss, AMOC slowdown, and Indian monsoon variability) the disruption to economic growth and well-being will be minimal. The world's economy will continue to grow making everyone much richer. By 2050 world mean consumption per capita should be $29,100 with tipping points or $29,300 without tipping points - barely noticeable. Apart from it being approximately double what it is now. By 2100 world mean consumption per capita should $71,000 with or without tipping points (Dietz et al, 2021). This is the most fortunate time to be alive in the whole of history.
No it’s a growing farce. Just because young people think it’s an issue doesn’t make it a real issue. How about puberty blockers for minors, how many young people think it’s ok, yet they don’t take into account long term potential effects, statistics that don’t support suicide going down with those that take them.
So, what did it reveal?
Same thing they’ve been saying for 50 years.
Climate can't be changed only in a controlled enclosed environment fact stop this bullshit
I love ❤️ fossil fuel ⛽️
Propaganda specialists unite!!
Propaganda specialists unite!!!
New World Order. Cool...
This shit is a joke! Real scientists will tell you the same thing. Tree hugging environmentalists are the worst thing for our planet, its all a money maker for these people.
Very informative session
❤Thank You!
Total lies
All those atolls and Pacific islands are still sitting right where they were 40 years ago when these liars started predicting all the catastrophic sea level rise. For all practical purposes, there's been NONE. They are grifting off your fear.. People need to wake up and read the actual science in the IPCC report which shows climate should not even be on our list of priorities. Make politicians spend our money more wisely.
How much does the journalist make?
Liberal drivel.
Propaganda has taken a turn for the worst! This crap is so lazy and so dull, just like the Biden administration. He must be back in this somehow some way
If the sea was rising at such a rate all the billionaires wouldn't be buying beachfront property mansions that cost 20 million
So stupid.
Climate Hysteria Cultist. Stupid in a dress.
The Earth is 4 billion years old you might be on it maybe for 80 years You don’t even register in the earths history, so I think you understand that in this level of complexity shows me how fucking dumb you are
Climate change is as real as wonder woman's invisible jet. Unless you're talking about the seasons. I hardly think we should worry about a half of a degree over 100 years.
Our climate goes through natural cycles. CO2 is healthy for our plant life. Global warming was a hoax that they've changed to climate change now. It's all a cash grab a tools to remove your freedoms. The earth is and will be just fine
I love dubs and subs of foreign films. Don't listen to this asshole.
Confused BS
