it's normal, because the software is designed for being used with xdr-f1hd, so if you use the sdrsharp plugin it's normal that's glitchy on older versions

Looks very cool! Btw, what software did you use for the virtual COM port? I tried the SDR# plugin some years ago, but had some problems getting the virtual COM working properly.

The transmitter network for NRJ in Sweden is quite interesting, a lot of their sites are off-air relays. Did you check if this tx was a relay, or a main site? You can tell it by looking at the AF list, the main frequency is on the B column. I have seen many of their relays that have a weak signal, have bad RDS data too. These are not MPX relays, they de-modulate the received signal and remodulate it with the received RDS data. Some weaker ones have mono audio, hearable hiss on the background, and very unstable RDS.. One I received via E-skip some years ago, switched PI's between 0000 and E220 constantly.

Very good. How did you manage to transmit the audio to your computer?

The signal seems to be a bit low for accurate reading, but yeah it seems overmodulate slightly the last time I checked it too. It still is probably on the limits that Traficom has set here though, which allow peaks 10% of the time between +/- 75-100kHz, and 0,5% in +/- 90-100kHz. It may never exceed +/- 100kHz. There are still some stations that exceed these limits quite a bit, especially some temporary ones I have seen, which don't seem to have proper limiting for the audio. It is very important to stay under the +/-75kHz limit since many DSP based radios will not play well with overdeviation, like skipping the station during auto tuning. This has happened here back when 98.4 YLE Radio Suomi had bad overmodulation, many tuners just skipped the station even in stronger areas, and AF preferred distant ones instead.

It actually seems to be on all of the Kruunupyy's YLE stations. It has been like this for at least 2 months for now.. not sure why. Vuokatti had exactly the same thing for 94.3 YleX and 98.9 YLE Radio Suomi back in last summer, but it got fixed. This also affects all of the off-air MPX relays of Kruunupyy, like 90.3 from Sievi and 95.9/92.2 from Perho.

Interesting. In case of a relay you can check RDS data of these stations with RDS Spy, and the AF section usually tells the main transmitted frequency. If it would be a cable signal, the RDS data is usually re-modulated at least in DNA's and Elisa's network, so data would be sligthly different (they use equipment by Teleste for the modulators). Telia in the other hand just has a pure MPX passthrough, so the modulated signal stays the same as on the air, including RDS. But indeed, these don't seem like cable frequencies, so not really sure what is going on here..

Jauki, ka esi pievienojies FMLIST novērojumu bāzei. Gribētu veikt nelielu instruktāžu. "myFM - Location" sadaļā QTH iestatījumos bez problēmām var ierakstīt visus specifiskos burtus, arī latviešu valodas garumzīmes. Ja tiek uztverts RDS, lūgums norādīt reāli uztverto RDS informāciju, proti, tieši tādu RDS PS, kāds tiek novērots, kā arī izdzēst PI kodu, ja tas netiek uztverts, kā tas ir šajā gadījumā. Precīzai RDS informācijai ir būtiska nozīme, jo teorētiski var gadīties, ka tu pamani kaut ko, kas vēl nav pamanīts vai ir nupat mainījies, bet precīzs RDS palīdz veikt precīzu identifikāciju, sevišķi no tālienes uztverot sporādiķus vai MS. Tomēr šajos gadījumos attiecībā uz Baltijas valstīm nav nepieciešams sūtīt notifikāciju redaktoriem. Labāk ir par to informēt mani personīgi, jo tāpat visa informācija man pēc tam būs jāpārbauda un vai nu jāakceptē, vai jānoraida, jo es arī esmu tas redaktors, vienīgais no redaktoriem, kurš dzīvo Baltijas valstīs un vienīgais, kurš regulāri veic lielākās daļas Baltijas valstu raidītāju monitoringu. Līdz ar to gadās, ka informāciju notifikācijā, ko ir apstiprinājis, teiksim, virsredaktors, kurš nepārzina vietējo ēteru, man pēc tam ir jāmaina... bet, kā izrādās, to jau esmu rakstījis tev e-pastā, kad tu biji nosūtījis notifikāciju par Star FM. Kā vēlies, rakstu atkārtotu komentāru. Šis ir labs tā saucamais "ultralight DX" (DX ar vienkāršiem uztvērējiem bez papildus antenām) loms ar precīzu ID, tomēr tik intensīva kanālveida tropo apstākļos, kādi bija 12. novembrī, vajadzētu tiekties uz daudz lielākiem attālumiem. Labi saprotu, ka DX ceļa sākumā arī šādi signāli sagādā prieku. Šo es varu uztvert gandrīz katru dienu, ja vien antenas ir pagrieztas tajā virzienā. Saprotu arī, ka daudzstāvu namā mērķi varētu būt piezemētāki, tomēr savulaik Iļģuciemā piecstāvenē, tiesa, ar dipolu uz jumta tiku uztvēris tropo virs 1000 km. Protams, tas notiek reti. Man arī tagad ir dzīvoklis Rīgā, bet tur man pat prātā nenāk mēģināt kaut ko uztvert, tur es varu analizēt uztverto. Tas ir lokāls parazītsignāls droši vien no kabeļtelevīzijas tīkla. Šajā frekvencē sen Latvijā nav apraides, tomēr tā ir piektā TV kanāla skaņas celiņa frekvence. Līdz ar to šis nav uzskatāms par tropo nekādā veidā. 73!
