Yeah I agree, Reborn took a lot of the mods potential and kept improving on it, while keeping the version free. BUT Jurassicraft does have some aspects that feel more natural and Minecrafty. Reborn can almost be too realistic.

Jurassicraft is just the original version of the mod, I played Jurassic Reborn in my latest video, it was awesome!

Do you have Minecraft on Java? You can download the free mod if you do, I think on bedrock you have to pay for a different mod :(

I am yet to have played them but they are most certainly on the list and will get a video in the future! A lot of people agree with you too so they must be good :P

That is totally fair! All of the mods are awesome and excel in their own different ways. It's just so cool we can have such good dinosaur mods for Minecraft.

@@x1mpressed Prehistoric Nature is my personal favorite fossil mod, but I'll always have F&A and Jurassicraft in my heart for the nostalgia.

@@kaijuar2003 fossil's and archeology is getting a 1.18 port so it will be my personal modern dino mod that's vanilla + But pn is my #1 I've been playing with dino mods since 2015 I remember Jurassic craft 2.0 update Then all of the sudden Jurassic craft reduced their dinosaurs For quality control But started reimplementing them behind a paywall which is why Ive grown distasteful of the mod And reborn is just too low quality ai wise It's quantity over quality

@x1mpressed I didn't even know that Jurassicraft was now behind a paywall. That's....That's really going to ruin my childhood. I hope Prehistoric Nature and the other fossil mods don't go that route.

Thanks for informing me of that! Back in that time food would have been harder to come by so a sitting duck (dodo) would be hard to resist. In my head they've gotta taste like chicken :P

​@@CrusherCallenThe Island they lived in (Mauritius,in Africa) was a place regularly visited by sailors,but not for trade,but for food. They'd stop there and capture/kill several dodos,and several other Birds and tortoises from neighbouring Islands. As dodos evolved in a place without predators,they Didn't fear people,and were hunted to extinction.

@@CrusherCallen I'm guessing its the higher quality of the models, my PC is admittingly trash but it still runs FA way better than it can run JWR

I agree. To this day, F&A and the other OG dinosaur mods aren't the greatest contents, but they are worth being held in an individuals heart for the nostalgia they have.

You definitely aren't the only one who prefers FaA over Jurassicraft and Jurassic Reborn! I've just always spent more time with Jurassicraft so it's more special to me, but that's different from person to person. Nostalgia levels on both are just amazing though, even though the content itself may be lackluster at times.

Yeah, i think majority of these dinosaur mods wouldn't have the best compatibility. But yeah fossils and archaeology looks awesome too, there's so much talent in the MC Dino modding community :) Thanks for leaving a nice comment too!

@@TheL1zrd Yeah I have a couple of other mods written down, that one included. I think I might take a break from the dino mods and upload some other nostalgic (probs still minecraft) content.

@dinominean478 well it’s better than jurassicraft at least, I’m not sure how else I’d make the title sound any good either. But that mod does sound pretty damn sick, 1000+ creatures is crazy and the seperate dimensions sounds so cool. I’ll add it to my list and will record it sometime in the future :)

​@@CrusherCallen you will have a lot of fun with pn and the next update v62 will have the first 100 Early Cretaceous animals they plan to add about 700 Early Cretaceous animals to the mod :). also i would recommend to use a premade modpack they list on the page that has all the mods installed so it be a lot easier to setup all the mods so you wont have a headache. i understand why you chose the title i just find it funny lol

Hey man! I'm glad that you enjoyed this video so much :) I used to watch heaps of PopularMMO's and so this video was lots of fun to make and re-visit all the memories. Im sad his life has gone downhill since then. And Yes! A Dantdm Mod review style video in his lab is definitely on my list! I can't promise when i'll be able to make it though.

@@CrusherCallen Yes it was my favorite skins to use in fortnite when it was out on mobile it was worth paying for it but I quit fortnite after the apple and epic drama and became it got me raging and sweaty wasn’t fun anymore but thanks for the compliment glad there are people out there who like this skin too 👍

The move to 1.19 and 1.20.1 Will be huge for these mods I reckon, hopefully it'll help bring their popularity back!

Yeah the content is a bit lack luster in my opinion, Maybe it's just because of the way we remember it but I feel like the mod had so much more. Maybe it's also because those content creators made such awesome stories as series, whereas we just play without as much imagination. The Mods were so groundbreaking for their time though :)

Is this the free or the paid version of Jurassicraft you're talking about? Because the free version I played here seemed very bare-bones compared to what it used to be.

@ The one I played is the paid version, I wanted to see all of the Jurassicraft progress.
