It won't take anyone long to notice that this channel lacks organization - at least for you. For me it is exactly what it started out to be. A place to store videos that I made either for fun, for memories, or for both. Many of these videos I simply don't want to get lost. I'm not a professional at many things, but I do like memories, I hope someday, if my kids stumble on this, that they are inspired to give something a try. They just might be able to do it, who knows.
On this channel, if you have made it here, you will find things mostly about car repair out of necessity, digging potatoes with family, firewood, general life on a small patch of ground while trying to raise a family that knows what work is ... you know - basic every day life.
If you found it I'm not sure how, or why ... but play nice with the other kids.

Closing Day Grouse Hunt with an Antique Stevens 5100 | New Brunswick Upland Adventure
Grouse hunting in New Brunswick, Canada, is one of the most rewarding ways to embrace the crisp beauty of fall and early winter. Join me for a non-professional yet heartfelt look at the final day of the 2024 season. Armed with my new to me antique Stevens 5100 side-by-side, I set out to savor the last moments of the hunt. What a blessing it was to bring home one final grouse to close out the season.
Whether you're a seasoned hunter or simply appreciate the charm of upland hunting, I hope this video inspires you to enjoy the great outdoors and cherish the tools that connect us to hunting traditions.
If you have tips to help a guy out drop those in the comments - otherwise give it a watch on those long winter days when you’d rather be hunting … I know I will be.

@@highseekers420 well done - if they were smoking you really bedded them in well 😆- you won’t drive it that hot in everyday driving … you confirmed the slide pins were indeed sliding ? Should be good if they are and everything is back together correctly … :)
@@TheBrokenBolt I pulled the pins, cleaned and lubed. The rotors and pads were $116.00 can dollars. Cheap parts! , I think this is why there was so much squeeling at first. Ive never had brakes so noisy after replacement. 3 days of driving embarrasment as I squeel by everyone..lol. I was really concerned but after a few hundred kilometers of driving all is well. The noises slowly went away. The new brakes feel smooth and should be the last brakes this car ever gets.

Thank you for the video, I am about to take off my rear wheel soon and this is helpful! How come you didn't put the jack stands on the frame and decided to use a 2x4 instead? Do you have a flat part on the frame where the 2x4 is touching?
Glad it helped a little. There is a flat spot there yes. I did it that way to make it more stable (I already had the jack in the center. Putting the 2x4 on the jack before lifting let me put stands under each side so it wasn’t just balanced on one center point. Or a guy could buy a proper motorcycle jack but who wants to do that. That would be too easy.
Great Job
Thanks. Hopefully it helped somehow

Wheel bearing TORQUE VALUE?!? Really!!
@@duanelundgren7985 yep, really … I’ve never worked on a 70+ year old tractor and just didn’t know … we all reveal our ignorance in some way - I just like to reveal mine honestly I guess. It’s hard to believe a guy can’t know everything eh? We all have to learn it somewhere along the way … that’s kind of the point of making stupid videos anyways - to encourage the ones like me that weren’t born with the knowledge right out of the womb - that maybe we can all learn it too I had a suspicion it was a “set it by feel” situation but really wanted to read that somewhere first. Finally found the info in the original owners manual … Thanks for taking the time to watch at least a couple seconds of it. If nothing else she’s a pretty tractor …
Steiner Tractor sells all new parts including the bearings. That’s where I bought from when I rebuilt the front axle on my 40 (which came from my grandfather also). The front bearing adjustment nut is 38 ft/lbs. I can look up anything else you need.
@@zfilmmaker this is awesome info, thank you. I’ve not yet had to search for parts and assumed it would be nearly impossible. I’d love to source where you’re able to look up the torque values too. I’ve not been able to find it yet in the original manuals. Thanks again!
