I recently bought two non running 6 hp 2 stroke motors. One is a 1969 Evinrude and the other is a 1969 Johnson, and after some minor carb rebuilding, new fuel pumps, and an impeller replacement, they both run really well. I plan to get one of them out on the lake in a couple weeks paired with my 14 ft flat bottom Jon Boat. The speeds shown on each of your engines is about what I'm hoping for. Somewhere around 17 mph. Nice video.

I have a 12 footer with a 1959 Johnson 10hp and it goes about that same speed so that 6hp is impressive

disappointed, really disappointed. I will put a garden hose adapter on actual ear protection muffs and add a clamp. apply yourself!

I'm really surprised how capable the 6hp motor is and I'm thinking it will do me to replace the 30 year old 20hp on my 3.6m Stacer. Being 6hp in Australia we don't require a marine licence which will do me to cruise the dams, creeks and rivers.

After watching this I'm going with a 6hp 4 stroke Tohatsu on a 1990 3.6m Stacer and yeah no boat licence required. What really surprised me is the get up and go they all have and at first I thought they'd be put, put, put.

October tho is nice but I would prefer my dads Kevlacat 3100

Nice video mate. How do you find the 6hp on a 3.15m tinny? I was thinking of putting one on a 3.5m tinny but thinking it might be too small.
